Be nice when they get this team relocated. Whether it be to Seattle or Quebec, this team is now an even bigger joke than it normally is. Analytics are ruining the game. -Ruebenkincade

Sorry Rueben but the Dumbest Post of the Week prize goes to you! No need to move this franchise, they are doing just fine where they are and have a very passionate fanbase. WTF is with Canadians always thinking the solution to any problem is to move a franchise north? There have been many failed franchises in the north (ex: Whalers, North Stars, original Jets, Nordiques). So why is always perceived as the "answer" north of the 49th parallel?

Because hockey south of the Mason-Dixon Line is inherently retarded?! They had palm trees on their hockey uniforms! They now wear soccer jerseys. And Panthers ticket prices are so cheap they make Devils fans blush... And so far this year the Devils have higher per game attendance so it's not like Florida is really doing so well.

Personally I'm fine with the Panthers staying and don't want to see fans lose their franchise but there are plenty of southern teams struggling and maybe some better hockey markets exist.

How wonderful has the league done relocating Hartford to Carolina? Or moving Winnipeg to Arizona? Or the North Stars to Dallas? Or setting up shop in Atlanta?
You know the teams are back in Minnesota and Winnipeg and are doing great, right?

Not trying to argue, just playing devil's advocate here...but while those teams may not be banging up the attendance numbers, it has spread the game to places where it traditionally never existed before those teams were moved.

Just going off the teams you mentioned: there have been 1st round picks from NC, AZ, and TX. Two of those three being top-5 picks and one 1st overall.

edit: Sorry, left out Chychrun too. From FL.

So the first game they play is in a barn they haven't won in since 2007...

I don't disagree with you. I was playing Devil's Advocate for previous post.

It's certainly good to try and expand the sport but I didn't think relocating a struggling franchise (not necessarily Florida) to Seattle or Quebec was such a horrible idea. To me it's a better idea then moving teams out of places like Minnesota, Quebec and Winnipeg.

I also don't want to see the league just keep expanding. 31 teams with the Vegas Golden Showers and you know they are going to 32 soon.

A whole page of comments and not a single Panthers fan haha. Oh man, time to get this mess of a franchise moved somewhere relevant.

You just have to mention that you think Barkov is the greatest centre in the NHL, and Dan will have all 3 of them here in a matter of minutes

Yes, clearly Hockeybuzz is the barometer that measures a professional sports' franchise's worthiness to exist.

Then explain why so many Islander fans are here since we out-draw them. Your system is flawed; good day.
