I'm not getting this... I don't believe have made a poor personnel choice/move since he's been around...
and someone conned the Sharks out of two 2nd rounders (I believe that's true) and a 4th for Polak, Spalling and Reimer...
- BorjeFan4Ever
the only move I've really not understood was claiming Smith off waivers... when the Leafs have Byron Froese with the Marlies. |

He traded down in the 2015 draft.
Philly used the pick to take Konecny - who is 7th in rookie scoring, while Dermott remains a question mark and Bracco remains a midget. |

It was the Islanders and Detroit that had huge discrepancies from home and away stats. They were very "generous" on hits and takeaways for the home team. - LeafMan
I used to go to quite a few Sharks games when I lived in the Bay Area... the stats the "Shark Tank" were pretty poor. Even shots on goal was questionable. |

Thanks.
As I said, you can no longer look at those stats - which I'm sure was intentional. |

In every arena, they pay kids $50 to do it.
Until the NHL starts taking those stats seriously, I will not be taking those stats seriously. |

so we're worked up about a guy drafted in 2015 (yup 19 months ago) who hasn't made it to the NHL yet as a defenseman... and a kid who is ripping up the OHL in his second year there who we're worried about because he's too small.
I don't know about you... but the last guy who was too small is doing okay.. and I don't think Bracco has to make the NHL this year
either...

I remember one game in Detroit, Datsyuk was credited with 7 takeaways, he gave the puck away several times including the game winner in OT, he was credited with 0 giveaways in the game, it was quite amusing. |

C'mon, Borje, don't be such an arsehole.
The Leafs have 3 of the top 5 rookie scorers. And then another guy at 15.
We haven't traded away our 1st round draft pick since 2010.
We have an actual building plan - and we haven't deviated from it.
The sushi is fresh, and I won a free jersey at the home opener.
Are you really giving me grief because I'm complaining about the Assistant GM?
For franks sakes, Borje, you gotta let me complain about something!!!!!!!!!!! |

If a GM is interested in Holland.
It's because he's thinking about going to the actual country and got all confused. - Scabeh

Tanner's thread attracts all kinds....now hitting has zero consequences in the NHL...hmmm. If a body check affects you in any way...you shouldn't be in the NHL..
Gotta love it. |

Well it's true. Usually an extra $200. Depending on the Gull girl. |

The one thing I'm very interested in is the really advanced tech they screwed around with at the all-star game - sewing chips in the jerseys so they can monitor speed and positioning.
I think that poop will be very interesting once they get it up and running - and will launch a huge Hockeybuzz debate as to whether player A skating X amount per game is better or worse than player B, who skates X-100 meters. - Atomic Wedgie
They're using it in the NFL now, and it's really interesting. The RedZone Channel is always showing data on who ran the fastest in a scoring play (in mph) and things like that. I imagine the team and league are doing MUCH more complex things with the data behind the scenes. It's going to be really interesting in the NHL when it starts being used. |

MLB too. They 'statcast' for example an outfielder's average and peak speeds in getting to a ball. They can also determine the efficiency of the route run. |
