See there's a large sample size that suggests that better hockey players come from Saskatchewan than Florida. If you look to the stats you'll see that there are a much higher number of players that come from SK; these players are also better. Thus I am a better player.

Of course it does, but if you're continually hitting a guy it means he's got the puck a hell of a lot more than you do. Your hits probably aren't having much of an effect if that's happening.

The other team has the puck about 1/2 the time...so regardless if you hit or not...they will still have the puck 1/2 the time...so hitting is important...it may not be a the top of the list but important non the less. Let's use Phil Kessel as an example...watch some games where they key on hitting him....he pretty much gift wraps the puck to get out of the way.
