If by giant, you mean size, sure, I'm 6 foot 3. Big guy, a little too much fat right now though.

Metal clip on top of head..... doesn't ring a bell for me though. I'm not sure what you mean. People put clips in their hair?

That's the top of your head. Because you are a weiner... that can type but that's about it.

It's funny, everyone keeps talking about how great of a difference there could be between picking top 2, top 5, top 10, etc.

Take a look at the Canucks top forward prospect, Boeser, who projects to be an elite scorer in the NHL, where was he drafted?

Eriksson is a safe bet to reach 40, as is Horvat. Sutter could get there too.
- NorthNuck

I am not so sure I would bet that Eriksson pots 40 points...

I definitively want a center, the top end of the draft is heavy on center depth and light on D men so it should be an easy choice. Totally agree, an extra first used on a big winger would be phenomenal
- CanuckDon

Yup agree....organization needs some quality center depth in a bad way!!

I think if he misses less than 5 games in the rest of the season he'll get there. I wouldn't bet on it either if he were to miss any more than a handful of games.

That doesn't mean in any way shape or form that that's the norm. And to ad to that, he's never played an NHL game.

I sure hope you are right. Would love to see him hit that mark. Doesn't matter how ugly or how pretty his goals are, the fact is that he is getting goals

I just want to see two really good prospects develop at the same time. I almost want the canucks to draft a complete line just so we can get players peaking at the same time.

Whining and complaining don't seem to get you very far. It certainly, to me, doesn't seem like it wins you over with your management and coach either. I don't want to make this into anything bigger than what it is (which really isn't anything big) but I just think Jake needs to focus on the things that will make him succeed and make him a better player.

You're right he hasn't. But neither have many of the young guys in these discussions, or in some cases they've only played a couple dozen. Just cause a guy looks good in his first year doesn't mean he's going to turn out how you dream, but that's a separate discussion.

The point I was hoping to make was directed at the "4 games costing us spots" in the draft. At the end of the day if you're relying so much on tanking every single game possible, what the hells the point of even following a team you hope to see lose? It's completely idiotic to look back and say "Dang, I really wish we lost those games"

If healthy he'll get there.

Bo's progression should be over 50 pts.

I guess we can't talk about Canucks related topics without coming across as dramatic or over the top. I don't think I am the minority on this. Anyhow, we have since moved on and the topic is 2 pages back. Care to talk about something else?

I am more optimistic about Bo's progression than anything. He has been fantastic as of late.

I dont think it is at all. I'd happily take a few losses with the knowledge you get to look forward to some exciting young players on roster. I'd rather stink it up for a few years, to inherit a decade of top players, than stay status quo for many years. The more the better.

We really won't know until we are deep in the season. With the pace he's currently on, he will score north of 50 points. He seems to have carried the momentum he had at the end of last year nicely, and I don't currently see any reasons he'd slow down. But you never know, he could hit a slump like he did last year again.

He is.

But that's a huge leap from quality prospect to "projects to be an elite goal scorer".

If you get a 20 goal scorer out of him, that's a solid outcome.
