You were asking opinion, not guarantees. Lefty thinks two players will get the points. We will just wait and see. Bookmark the page and get back to us in March.

- bloatedmosquito

yes, I was. It seemed like you couldn't figure that out!

Does Prock just want your opinion or is he not smart enough to figure the above out for himself?
- bloatedmosquito

8 points in the standings can make a difference but so can a 10 game losing skid and that is quite possible with this team. Injuries are starting to mount so it's just a matter of time before they start losing again.

The draft is now a lottery so we can't get too angry with the results.

That's the spirit. Looking at the bright side now.

I don't know why anyone would pick the name Prock... it sounds too similar to Prik or Cock.
- bloatedmosquito

Interesting. I'd figure you'd like that.

I would really like to see the Sedin's split up. Not for forever but even a period here or there. They both lack speed, ability to drive the net.
- manvanfan

plus any time they have been split up they are magical when reunited. They learn new skills. When Henrik won the scoring title that year he did it most of the season without danny. He literally exploded scoring wise.

We all know players don't always get along but that image says a lot about Kane.

I wouldn't mind kane on this team because I do think a change in scenery would work in this instant. But I wouldn't give up anything of significance for him.

Come on. In terms of school yard rules it does leave itself open to ridicule.

Interesting.

I'd argue that the difference between a top pick, sometimes top 2 pick, can be pretty significant. Sometimes not so much, agreed.

But Nolan Patrick seems to be a tier above everyone else, and Liljegren just below him, also ahead of the rest of the pack.

My personal take would be that either one would be a much bigger step forward for the Canucks than any other player in the draft.

It's true though, you never know. While it's early, the Leafs look like they very well may have snagged the second best player in the 2015 draft, at number 4. Early to tell though.

- prock

The Canucks can tank or sell-off at the TDL, I think there's lots of time to reach the bottom. They don't have far to go.

And yes, Marner could very well be the best his draft class....at #4.

There are elements I like about Evander Kane as well. I like his style of play, hard nosed but talented. But yes, he's a douche, and he'd need a tight leash.

And I LOVE what he did to Matt Cooke.

There should be 3-4 quality centers taken in the top 10 this draft. Horvat and ___ will make us set down the middle for years.

Hopefully!!!

No. He'll never be the best, given who was at number 1. that would take something bad happening to McDavid, and I, as a hockey fan (Canadian one at at that), would really rather that not happen.

I don't know, I guess you gotta just hope those wins don't come back to nip you in the arse.

oh, I know. It rarely gets picked on any more, partly because I don't care, and really, you gotta be like 8 years old to find it funny. "oh my god, his name is like wiener!!!!" Like, really? That's the best you got?

What you hoping for out of this year's first overall? A centre? Another Dman? playmaker?

I would like to see two first round picks. First a centre, then a skilled winger. But they must have some size or some grit to their game.

Aww.....yes, I forgot about McDavid. I misspoke. For all intents and purposes Werenski looks like an absolute steal at #8. It's not so much about where you pick, but who you pick.

And yes I know the odds favour the higher you get to first overall, however, there isn't a generational player available every year like 2015.

First overall? You mean first rounder I assume.

Does it matter to you guys? You have holes at all positions. Personally, I think it's best for an organization to start with the back end.

Sometime I do like to embrace my childish side so I now have a mental image of you as a giant, troll-spouting, computer-literate wiener. You know, one with that little metal clip on the top of your head keeping it all together.

And I find that (frank)ing hilarious.

Yep. Was awesome too. Kesler is a douche, so I appreciated that.

But Matt Cooke? You must admit... just.... perfect. Cooke was just asking for it.

Are you dense? Trolling? Or both (most likely). You can't lose every game kid...even last place teams win 4 in a row at some point

If by giant, you mean size, sure, I'm 6 foot 3. Big guy, a little too much fat right now though.

Metal clip on top of head..... doesn't ring a bell for me though. I'm not sure what you mean. People put clips in their hair?

I don't think you're giving Eichel enough credit. I think because he hasn't been around this season Marner looks real good about now but Eichel's speed and shot I would say are as good if not better

I never said it with certainty. I said he MAY. as has been pointed out, Werenski is no slouch either. Could very well take the calder this year.

I disagree with his assessment, actually.

a) the season is 82 games long, but 8 points can make the difference in 4 or 5 spots int he standings.
b) Eriksson is not on pace for 40 points, I don't think it's a guarantee he makes it. It would be a career high for Horvat, too. I don't think he's a guarantee either.

- prock

Eriksson is a safe bet to reach 40, as is Horvat. Sutter could get there too.

I definitively want a center, the top end of the draft is heavy on center depth and light on D men so it should be an easy choice. Totally agree, an extra first used on a big winger would be phenomenal

Eichels a fantastic player yes, I think I said "could be", either way I'd be extremely happy!
