I wouldn't . Tavares is 26 by the time this team is ready to really compete he will be 29

I said the same thing about Gudbranson

Bo, JV, Tanev + protected 1st (becomes a 2nd round pick if lotto) for Tavares, Hamonic
- DariusKnight

What an interesting take....I like JT but with the potential that Bo has projected this yr they could almost be a wash. JT will want excess of 8mil a yr where Bo will probably project at 6-8yr at 5-5.5mil. I am not comparing these 2 right now, but in a cpl yrs the difference will be 15 points at the most.

As for the rest, I wouldn't do it cause Hamonic and Tanev are also almost a wash. This means we give up JV and a potential 1st to complete this deal.

This is not a good deal for this team.

I think he's still trying to win, you might see a move for a prospect like Logan Brown closer to the deadline.
- LeftCoaster

I think he is trying to win also. As much as no one here wants it I do see a deal of JV and Subban for Kane. Virtanens stock has dropped to the level of Gaunces.

I also think that GMs are not throwing boatloads at D for a trade. Fowler Trouna Lindholm all still with their clubs because GMs are not giving up first round picks.

Hall for Larsen was a dump. Hall was complaining he wanted to be the headliner and Oilers wanted to get rid of that thinking and dump a 6 mil contract. That trade was not the norm.

They're in last place, word on the street is JT isn't happy! Snow under a lot of pressure to turn that ship around, and in a hurry!

I would be okay with Logan Brown. I seen him play a few times last year. He looks like he could be good.

I would be interested is a Mark Stone type player. He would slot in nicely beside Bo.

- VANTEL

Tanev + JV for Stone would be too much. Tanev for Stone straight up would be close. If we add, the difference would not be JV. If they are set with Karlson/Dion on the right, then why look at them as a trade partner? Other teams have some really good prospects/possible available top 6(you never know who is selling what, or open to what) That would give us fair trade for Tanev instead of us overpaying using him.

Snow really screwed up this summer. He wouldn't pay Oko 6mil a yr but he would give Ladd 5.5mil? Huge mistake.

Ottawa is not trading Mark Stone, why would they do that? He's 24 and on his way to his third consecutive 20+ goal season, plus he's 6'3" 200+ lbs.

Why would he leave one train wreck for another? I'm sure he wants to win not go through another rebuild.

Teams don't trade 6'3 25 goals a year for Dmen that score 2 goals and 44 hits . It just doesn't happen .

Hall/ Larsen was not a normal trade.

I was throwing poop on the wall to see if it stuck. I mean, it's no worse than RNH for Tanev anyways.
