Always wanted to get hammered on Absynthe. Too chicken though and too old now

It's takes a while to heat it through the sugar so it's a slower pace on getting you into a nice place. The older you are the more appreciative of the burn.

Unless it's total hooch I can find something to appreciate about most bottles. It's my drink of choice, easily, but it's a great time to live in the lower mainland if you're a beer fan. I don't know what the craft beer scene is like on your coast, but they are making some of the best beer in the world here right now.

Sounds good. Always enjoined the Northwest inventiveness. I can tell you that NY has had quite a lot of micro brews pop of late that add to the craft scene.

I think the world as a whole is making much better beer now. You could really see it start to change 15-20 years ago, and it has caught on and expanded.

I remember hitchhiking with a guy from Czechoslovakia (just before the split) and he told me about how crappy our beer was. He told me all about the microbrews and how they didn't use preservatives.

I started to appreciate microbrews back then, and of course they've only gotten better since. There are some good ones in the maritimes, PQ, ON, and of course out west. Portland of course has that fantastic festival.

I still drink quite a bit of Czech beer to this day.

No, if we're trading Tanev to EDM it's Draistl+, RNH isn't even close to equivalent value for him.

Getting an NHL centre of that quality. Van needs offence, RNH makes other players around him better as long as you don't have him playing solely defence.

You have Bo and Sutter. 6 mil for a third line center is not appealing. He would produce as much as Granlund on this roster.

You want to trade a top 5 defensive defenseman... for a 3rd line center on a team that got nowhere with him as their first line center until McDavid dropped into their laps. Sure, I can see where that's funny.

He's not actually a 3rd line center even though he plays it on that team eh? He is being asked to play a shutdown center role for them because the other centermen infront of him don't know how to play defence at all. Van would be an excellent place for him to allow him to play some offence. What he is good at. You know he has seasons for 50 plus points on terrible teams. Which neither Sutter or Horvat have ever done on better teams.

That's like saying Mitch Marner isn't going to score in the nhl because he weighs 170 lbs.

I get the idea of trading Tanev or Edler for a good young scorer . I just think RNH is a bad choice.

He also scored his 50 pts playing with Hall and Eberle not Menga and Burrows

At the point right now, they so under utilize his talents. He would be a solid compliment to Bo as a 1-2 punch. He's even BC born!

Get what your saying. Was up for discussion.

I think the last two weeks have shown us we are a .500 team. This is what I was expecting in the summer not the team that couldn't score a goal.

I believe we are stuck here in no mans land until the Sedins are gone. We can't move them so sense complaining , let it play itself out. They help us and hurt us in the same game. I / we need to get use to it and this is how it is until the end of next year
