They could always complain about having nothing to complain about.

Good plan, a bridge deal with him would kill the Canuck's future cap

Yes the team is poor but they've been really good for over a decade. Although it's tough for some to stomach this, because they've never had to experience the really down times, it's good that they're building a nice prospect pool thru the draft....if it works, in five years they'll once again have a competitive club!

There have been less talented teams that have trapped their way to a cup. I think the new NHL is the answer to why the Canucks are not talented enough. The game has been opened up, the lineups are deeper and the players entering the NHL are more creative. They are harder to defend IMO, so you used to be able to clog up the ice with big bodies to neutralize the opposition and hope your scoring line wins you the game 1-0; the newer NHL makes it more important to either be fast (so you can recover) or smart. The best in the NHL are both (Crosby, McJesus, Karlsson, etc.), I think the Canucks lack a lot of smarts outside of the Sedin's, Bo looks to have both though, but just arent deep enough

Pretty much where I was going. The difference being on square peg round hole is that I think these players will play better in a non trap system. Not high end Guys okay. But better suited as you said they are not the big body plug it up types. With the likes of Baer, Granlund, Sutter and Hanson in your top six that trap play doesn't suit them. They are not Sedin smart or Mcdavid capable of course. But they probably will excel better with a high pressure more offensive structure. Personally win or lose would prefer that for team identity.

Burrows wakes up from his 2 year slumber and Sbisa isn't serving up pizzas like he was in the first 8 games. Everything is back in playoff mode again in Canuckland.

It looks like burrows has improved his speed ,I know he was working on it this summer. I would keep him next year at the right price he is good for the young guys.

If he is playing really well I would trade him and if the Canucks are desperate they could re sign him

Boeser looks like a great prospect but from what I have seen/read I don't think speed and creativity are his calling cards.

He looks like a good finisher, something as well this team needs but I imagine he will need someone to set him up. I'm always a little wary of guys who score a lot of goals in juniors/college from distance.

Sure that's where went with it too. BB is working on his passing game this year. He may be more creative then a shooter like OV or Stamkos.

I think he can work with Bo. I am liking Bo as a 1LC more and more as he develops. A good two way guy like a Bergeron or Toews type. Time will tell if he can fall into that elite group but a supporting cast always helps. Why a shooting scoring type like BB may work with him. But his leadership and maturity at such a young age is very much Toews like in how its developing.

Yeah brought that up today as a good possibility because of why he will probably playing with Bo and Baer for a while and they seem to be heating up.
