LOL
I was in the minority, I originally liked the Sutter trade. I was worried about the Weisbrod influence and concerned about Granlund deal, but that one I am feeling much better about . Everyone seems to have an issue with Benning but I like his strategy of building from the net out. I wish he would keep more to his chest when he does press conferences, he seems to telegraph way too much when he talks. WD - I am not like the other "lemmings" who want him fired at the first moment. I thought he was going to be toast after that brutal road trip but it sure doesn't look like the players have tuned him out.

Ok I think we could get along quite fine, need any protection just call..

Look at above post on this page about trade value of Burrows. What issues do you have there?
- Nuck4U

No problems man, You haven't said anything i would call outrageous today I doubt we find a trade partner for Burrows though. Would be nice.

I am surprised at the number of people who have jumped on the fire Willie boat. As far as the media and the team is saying at the moment, he hasn't lost the room, they're just playing bad. If the coach is still respected and there is evidence that many of the losses aren't his fault what would be the point in getting rid of him? Wouldn't change who is on the team.

The only plus players on this team at this point of the season are Sbisa, Burrows, JV and Tree

They are on it because of the poor (or non existent) systems the rest of us cannot see, and the 100% fact he is not a playoff coach (even though this team is no where near the playoffs)

Happy for Hutton!

Happy for the future of the top 4.

Happy to see Garth throwing a fart storm suggesting it was Buffalo who walked away from the Kane deal.

- Beatle_john

Good ol'Garth.

"Hutton leads all Canucks rear guards in goal scoring".

Pretty easy to do when its a high of 2 goals

Never said want him fired. Wanted him to change it up. Can't you question coaching decisions without going to extreme of firing? Why moderate view gets misunderstood.

If you recall my posts questioning his firing. Like were what would you replace him with doesn't mean would be better. Who is out there that can do better now? Etc etc.
I do recognize he's liked and a players coach. But we need more from him.

I don't think it's a fair assessment to call him a non-playoff coach when he has coached 1 series of 5 games. Yes he got outcoached in that one by a wide margin, but did everyone forget he won the Calder Cup the year before he was hired?

I also think it would be selling most of us short to say others can see systems we can't. We may only notice bits and pieces but I think if you watch enough you can pick out the problems. For example the PP zone entry with Daniel standing still on the left side boards, they've been doing it for a long time and it fails more often than it works.

Another Garth tidbit.

"Seemingly, Benning under estimated Murray. The Canucks GM knew full well that Murray was seeking a top four puck mover and was only offering dusty veteran D Alex Edler

I would be very surprised if that was the case

at no disrespect, but I do not think it is the view that we are misunderstanding, I think it is your phrasing, wording, lack of commas/periods and sentence structure.

Yes. It's a combination of both. But I thought it starts from coaching. Put them in the best situation to succeed.
