It was brutal.

The powerplay at the end of the game was infuriating. I know Matthews is God and is immune to all criticism, but him and Nylander really sh1t the bed on that powerplay.

It was just the classic "SHOOT THE PUCK".

Sometimes the fancy 4-passes then tap in or bar-down aren't available. Especially when Carolina was collapsing so much in front of Ward.

I don't believe this is true.

Some GMs were surprised to learn Las Vegas will have 48 hours from the time protected lists are released to negotiate with restricted free agents left unprotected. If a team loses an RFA, it won’t lose a player in the expansion draft.

Funny that you are all butt hurt because I dared to suggest he had a bad powerplay or suggested he didn't have a good game last week.

Guess what... it was a bad powerplay. he did have a poopty game last week (flu apparently). He is on about a 20 points a year pace over his last 13 games.

I have never said he was a bust, or we should have taken Laine; quite the opposite actually. I have also stated, more than once, that this kind of stuff is expected from a rookie.

Yeah the Golden part is horrible. Dark or Black would have been better, but I'm sure that name would have upset some people.

Hell, even Silver would have been better.

I saw someone post to twitter earlier that of the last 10 first overalls, 6 of them have had goal-scoring droughts of 13 games or more (including Stamkos). Folks need to be thankful for the fact that we have years of this kid ahead, and not focus on the fact that the puck hasn't been bouncing his way despite playing better than most 19 year olds would be capable of.

I would rather see the Sens win the cup than the Habs.

The only team against the Habs that would make me pause to think about who to cheer for would be the Canucks.

What have you got against our boys? They don't even play in the same Conference anymore. They've played one meaningful series in the past 30 years (1994) and that was 22 years ago.

fair enough...so it's really about the fans not the actual team. I actually know how you feel as my dislike for the Leafs has nothing to do with the actual team or players. Ok maybe Kadri. I've got a bunch of buddies who are Leaf fans, great guys.

It's more centered around media and growing up in the 70's having CBC shove them down our Western throats all the time, as well as the supposed current national sportscasters and their websites, its all Toronto all the time.

I get why they do it, but I don't have to like it.
