The Flyers have signed Samwell Tarly of the OHL Night's Watch

- YuenglingJagr

Nice. More of a stay at home defenseman which is what they need.

Voracek back with Giroux and Schenn at practice?
- YuenglingJagr

I'm fine with it. These lines look just as good.

Never once, using Firefox, IE, or Chrome on my phone, have I been unable to quote. You people are all liars.
- jmatchett383

Sometimes in order to quote you have to make a post first. It's completely random but my suspicion is that sometimes it makes you refresh the page or go to another blog to see if the quotes work there which may appear to give EK higher site traffic. Only somewhat reasonable explanation I have

Was hoping they'd go back to this even though the 2nd line has been on point this year.

I think Kate Bilo could come up with a better PK rotation than Lappy.
- Feanor

Her and Sheena Parveen would probably get better results from the PK units!

in regards to the expansion talk...

capfriendly is essentially assuming David Clarkson is exempt from being protected

What's the feeling on Schenn's play? I feel like for getting a new contract I am not seeing the results. I know still early. But I don't feel like I am seeing the game from him as last year.

Just my thoughts but open to others opinions.

I haven't seen anything spectacular. He's on pace for 56 pts which I would think is the range he should be in.

Id have to see the breakdown of what his PP salary is versus his ES salary to know if they are getting good value

I guess.

To me he doesn't look as engaged as last season. Maybe he will turn it on. Maybe I am just looking for a little more since he got a nice deal off last years performance.

No Quotes of course. no didn't think they signed Weise for his offensive ability but I did expect more than 1 assists thru 11 games. I expected the player he was in Montreal. He really doesn't look to fit anywhere so far and is making too much money for what he brings.
- nastyflyergirl

I definitely expect more from him but his career history does show slow starts when joining new teams. Will have to see how he settles in. I've liked his play recently.

Just like Clowe. It makes no sense to force either team to protect them.

While I agree, I just think it is slightly odd. I guess it isn't the first time the NHL has let teams wiggle out of these scenarios, but it just makes you wonder why the players need to wait to retire anyway

Not just points I expected him to be more involved. More physical on the forecheck. Maybe even a little chippy. Stir the pot a little. Just seems like he wants to be a skill guy. Not the grinder/role with a little offesne type I think the flyers were kind of hoping for.

LOL at all the articles about how Provorov is "playing through the learning process"

last week you would've thought being a healthy scratch would be the best way for him to learn!

Anyone else hear rumors of Ghost possibly being dealt to Montreal? Supposedly their was a Habs scout at 2 Flyer games this season that was mentioned last week. Now another rumor today about it? Just curious.

Chuck Gormley the source. Habs want a LHD to play with Weber.
