I hope they keep who they have, why bother trading assets, Sven might be useless but he's essentially free. Worry about the top 6 in the off-season after the expansion draft and draft.
- DariusKnight

I never understand this thinking. Sven is not free he is costing close to two million a year. I think moving him and Tanev gives up close to 6 mil or a little more.

Neither one of them have proven to be a winning formula here. There must be some team that needs a Dman and a third line forward or Hansen a second line forward.

I think a fresh start away from the Vancouver cycle system might be beneficial for all involved

I do hope Canucks trade for a top 6 LW this year. Sven is useless. . Draft a high ranked forward and hope Boeser is ready for top nine next year. Phase 1

I have wondered if it would be possible to pry Gallagher from Montreal.
The Habs are off to a great start, but Gally has been struggling.
He's a RW i know, but what this team is missing in the top 6.

Tanev for Gallagher?

Tanev and Burrows for Gallagher and Juulson with Vancouver retaining Burrows salary?

Tanev and Sedins for Galagher, Juulson, Plekanec (salary purposes), 1st x 2. (just kidding )

No doubt, must suck for him though, everyone one drafted in the top 10 of the 2015 NHL draft save for Meier is currently playing in the NHL, and doing surprisingly well at that.

Who does he have to out-compete in Arizona to get on the roster as a center?...White and Halpern lol?

I am liking this Nikita Popuguaev. Although another RW he appears to be a high end goalscorer. Personally would prefer a topnotch Centre but scoring winger would be nice also.

You aren't going to get anyone better than him with what you'd be willing to trade, so why trade? I agree that he's not the solution, but unless you're willing to give up Bo, Boeser, Juolevi, Demko you aren't going to get a significant upgrade. I'd prefer to play things out with who we have and make changes in the off-season once you've had a chance to evaluate what worked and what didn't.

You need to get rid of WD first before you try and make a trade like that anyways. Get rid of a coach that isn't working out, then if you're still stuck, then try the trade route.

Interesting.

Very interesting indeed. Wonder what they are looking for?
As far as making trades, anyone can be traded for the right return. I would hold off till the trade deadline when values can get stupid high then start dumping

You are petty bang on.

I think a successful year before the start of next year is Boeser on the roster . A trade for a top 6 , and draft a better forward than what we have now.

I took a coaching change as a given

Duclair is really struggling this year . This is where I would be looking at moving Tanev plus

The window for firing WD before Christmas is closing. I said he could be gone at the 20 game mark depending on the record. I would say he is still gone mostly because of the excessive shutout losses.

Yeah, pretty much, WD just isn't the coach for this particular team. I think a trade would happen either at the expansion draft, between it and the NHL draft or at the draft. Depending on where the team is, it's likely that they dump assets and contract at the TDL.
