They didn't use to, because it was really just a chip shot. It's why the league moved them back from being 19 yards to 33. While a 33 yarder isn't considered super tough, it's not quite as "guaranteed" as the 19 yarder was.

So on Cal O'Reilly, I think we all can say he should be here. I agree 100%.

I did read from someone (can't remember who) that he NEEDS to be in Rochester to help all the young guys develop "correctly". So I am not sure if that was the persons thought (was it the prospects guy?) or something he heard/knew that Murray wanted.

I understand the need in developing the young guys correctly, but I think you owe it to the player to play in the NHL if he is able to (over other choices of available players). But from what I saw, he should be here until we need the roster space back from injuries and even then, Grant should go down, issue will be waivers. I think they both Grant and Cal need waivers. I would think someone would take Cal if he was on waivers, Grant, not so sure.

I went to the game on Saturday. Felt a little silly when I left the house to go to dinner beforehand around 4:30 with my winter jacket on. Didn't seem super necessary, but I had a feeling I was going to really appreciate having it after the game.

Cal won't have to clear again unless he's here for 30 days or 10 games (whichever comes first).

And I agree, if it happens, then you deal with it. It's not the end of the world. And good for them, because that means they should at least get a decent stint on an NHL roster somewhere else for a bit.

That is the most different weather ever , Used to drive that once a week. dry in syracuse , then rain, then 2 feet of snow in the road back to rain, then dry in watertown.
