That would be scary if they were giving up 4 a game and aside from last night and the .01 empty netter they're not.
- KreiderBomb

my pick to win it all is still the bolts (with a healthy stammer)but theres no denying how fantastic the rangers have played.

i actually think two of the oilers best games of the year were played against the rags. lost em both.

up tempo, fun to watch, super deep (kevin hayes and jt miller??!!), mcdonagh is all world. hank.

i wrote them off, but this version of the rangers is a real contender imo

I'm sorry, I'm going to have to disagree.

Are they playing over their head? Not if you've watched them play. They play as bad as their roster is. If the question was, which team is not as good as their record indicates, then I would agree.

You see, they've been complete garbage, like you would expect from that roster. But, the thing is, their schedule has included Buffalo x 2, Vancouver x 2, Nashville x 2, Carolina, Arizona, etc, etc. In fact, their schedule has included only 5 games against playoff teams so far. 12 against non-playoff teams (the standings to this point).

The fact that they're 1 point away from being a non-playoff team, with such an easy schedule to this point, is what's amazing. When december hits, they're in for a rough ride. Things turn very nasty for them in December and January, and it's quite clear they'll be in the basement when that stint is done with them, exactly where any intelligent hockey fan expected them to be.

So many butt hurt Leafs fans on here

Ottawa is once again better at winning hockey games than Toronto is. Nothing new there. The Sens WILL make the playoffs. The Leafs WON't. Same ol song and dance.

I've had a HockeyBuzz account for a couple of years now and I've never commented on any of the articles/blogs. However after reading Tanner's comments I had to state that I will NEVER read his delusional rantings again.

Montreal's defense is worse than the Rangers, LOL... plus the Leafs should be ahead of them? You have to be f***in' kidding me. Reilly is the ONLY NHL caliber defenseman they have. Sure they can score but this is not the 80s where you can win on a regular basis 8-6.

Best of luck to you Tanner... maybe Damian Cox will give you a job at the Toronto Star because only his readers (aka Leaf fans) will read your "home"r drivel.

There is nothing to be butthurt for Leaf fans about.

I'm pretty sure if you asked fans of the other 28 teams, they'd all tell you, 100% of them, they'd rather be the Leafs right now than the Sens.

The Sens are not making the playoffs.

Why are Leafs fans butt hurt? This is the most fun team they've watched in a decade. Leafs fans seem as happy as they've ever been.

Matthews, Marner and Nylander? I'd be (frank)ing ecstatic!! Marner is going to win a scoring title one day, mark my words

The leafs, oilers, buffalo, Winnipeg. all future dominant teams.

nobody is jealous of the sens. for any reason. they're a tire fire garbage organization.

I'll bet you anything you choose Chicago makes the playoffs.
and doesn't just "squeak in" either . I think you're criminally underrating what their core can do. Which I don't understand after everything they've proven time and time again.

You've made it tough to really nail down the difference unless price does in fact go down, but I'll also bet you Toronto doesn't finish within 10 of Montreal. Behind NOT ahead.
If price goes down, I'll still bet you Toronto doesn't finish 10-20 ahead

I don't hate the leafs, totally agree on the matchup problems and the explosiveness. But they have serious holes. I just don't think they're that good of a team yet

- HB77

When Tanner is talking about the Hawks, he does not use logic -just pure hate.

Wow the Laughs have sucked for so long they got a few nice draft picks. No other teams could've concurred that feet. (Except maybe Edmonton)

At least Sens fans got to watch more than 4 playoff games in the last decade

Laugh all you want but the Sens have won only 1 playoff round more than Toronto's 0 the past 8 or 10 years. So if you're bragging about winning 1 playoff round in that time, you're just as sad as the state of the Sens. From their roster to their Ballardesque owner.

At least one team has a bright future potentially. And it's not Ottawa.

Oh and for the record Cordell who picked the Sens isn't a Leaf fan. But facts don't seem to matter to you.

My point is that nobody is butthurt over a team because they won a single playoff round in the past 9 seasons.

Correction, Prock is always butt hurt when it comes to talking anything about the Sens. He's been whining on about them on hockey buzz for years now.

Good for you. You just pushed the timeframe back to include a few playoffs that you got spanked by the Leafs though. LOL.

Is it really that crazy to think when the Sens actually start playing decent teams they'll struggle.

They just gave up a goal, first shot on net tonight, 25 seconds into the game.

I'm sure you think I'm butthurt about that too????

It has never been fair to call you butthurt, Prock. Insofar as your entire Hockeybuzz identity is as a Sens and, to a lesser extent, Habs hater, your opinions are as unbiased as they are predictable

See? This right here! Leafs Habs on the TV, and you're watching the Sens game?

I don't if maybe Alfie shot a puck at you, or maybe Emery ran over your dog in his hummer or some such, but how irrational can you be?

Nope. My wife and a friend are getting ready to go out. I wasn't watching either, I was having a drink with them. I'm letting them get ready now. I've got my laptop here, and saw the score at the top of the screen. Laughed when I saw the game wasn't even a minute old, and they're already down.

Let me guess, another goal scored with Karlsson "defending"?
