he does it to play the media. what did everyone talk about this weekend on tv and radio? a (frank)ing actor telling Mike Pence "bro don't (frank) this up". what did no one talk about? the fact that Trump just paid a $25 million settlement in the Trump University case. that's a lot of money to pay for a narcissist who was running a clean business.

by the standards to which we hold politicians, Trump might be an idiot on anything relating to policy, decorum or sheer decency. but when it comes to the media, this (frank)ing guy is in charge. they do what he wants them to do when he wants them to do it.
