Hey, man, hang in there, things always get better, life's nothing more than a series of peaks and valleys. But if you really do feel depressed all the time, don't ignore it. Depression is a nasty S.O.B. that has a way of really digging its claws into people.

I think his emphasized words might be a jab at sarcasm of how this thread has been . It really is not that bad today considering our latest streak that continued last night.

Edit: I still think we are gonna be good

I think what will be really interesting is what happens at the deadline. We've got a ton of guys that aren't going to be here near year (free agency, draft, trades). Does GMTM get more picks or does he double down and trade for more young vets?

Last checked I think we have at least 12 that will need attention . Dn't really have too many high ends that could be considered a great rental on a contender.

I get the feeling that the team is just beat down right now. They need something to change their mindset. I 100% believe at this point the coach is a huge issue with this club, and I wasn't one of the people that disliked bringing Bylsma in. But there's too many things that point in that direction at the moment.
- HonkFortheGoose

They showed a quick video before going to commercial that the hosts talk over, about sponsors and what's up next, of the locker room without audio in one of the intermissions. Most of Bylsma was cut off except for his right arm which was gesticulating and occasionally his head would pop into frame. And there was an assistant 15' directly in front of him in the doorway nodding vigorously. It immediately reminded me of a high-pressure sales tactic, it just looked so... desperate.

Well, let me try it this way

WHAT LOOKS UPLIFTING or EXHILARATING in this thread? What looks like anybody easing any burden from my shoulders?

I was trying to make fun of all the dopes who come in here and rain all over everything all day. Holy smoke it's like nobody ever put a tongue in cheek before.

He needs to take picks, Gionta, Nilson and Franson should bring back 3rds, and Kuli a 2nd. Move Bogo and Kane if you can find a taker. We already have and extra 2nd and 3rd this year and we should end up with three 2nds and at least 4 3rds going into the draft. Use them to move up for better quality picks if you have to, but we need to seriously restock the farm. Murray traded away a lot of prospects (regardless if people felt they were crap) and we're left with one decent defensive prospect (Guhle) and one decent offensive prospect (Nylander)

Fasching, Bailey, Bap, and Carrier are all bottom six 50/50 shots of NHL success.

ROR injury ..

Credit to Garth

Murray said Thursady that Ryan O'Reilly's is suffering from an oblique injury. That can be a killer injury for a premiere face off man who has to rely on twisting, turning and contorting his body with regularity inside shifts. Murray won't say how severe the injury is but it has to be weighing heavily on his mind otherwise he would have kept his news to himself.

"I'm concerned for sure," Murray said. "In the position he plays, there's a lot of twisting and turning when you're taking draws and shooting the puck. I would like to see it settle down and rehabbbed and do the right thing. He's a competitive guy and he thinks he's around 70 percent now or so. When he gets to 80, he'll want to play so what's the right thing?"

That sounds like week to week

- GERBE!!!75PTS

So where out of that do you get "we're going to rush him back."? It sounds like he knows his player and knows he'll want to be out there and knows that he'll still be able to contribute, but is that the right thing for the team overall? Like I said last night 5% of the NHL is at 100% at the end of the season sounds like a high number. Everyone is hurt, nobody's at their best.

Sorry man, but satire doesn't always come across in text, I was hoping you were joking though. But I have had people in my life who didn't find someone to talk to until they did something rash to themselves. It just isn't something that I wish to blow off anymore as not my problem.

5v5 lioneater has as many goals and two more assists and he's only making $1.15 million compared to matty-boy's $5 million cap-hit...

that said, i'm happy to see Moulson w/ six goals so far this season

yeah, he's had a few, with weird things happening like in the blues game when it went off of the d-man's skate...that said...

I still don't get why people are so down on him...he's doing everything but score, which is fine for the third line role he's been in and the $$$ he's making...save for the scoring part I have no problem with his play

Put Baptiste In the top 6, get girgs at center where he belongs, send Derick Grant to AHL where he belongs, and round out the forwards with Carrier, Bailey and or Fasching...whichever among them is healthy....and DD please play the kids more than 5 minutes a game!

On D, keep Fedun and don't let Nelson anywhere near the NHL. Put McCabe on top with Risto and double- shift them until Kuli and Bago get back. Gorges only gets 10 minutes max. Fedun Franson does not bother me in the least right about now.

And on PP 2, try Foligno along with anyone not named Gionta or Larsson...that unit stinks to bloody Heaven.

Uplift mofo party plan, yo.

That scoring part (all players) is what been driving our madness . They start scoring and that turns into winning and then some will have to search deep to find something to female dog about. Well maybe some wont dig too deep.

just read a pham piece where Bylsma said of gus, “On a scoring chance ledger he has not gotten enough, but it’s because he’s given up too many. He can’t just be going out there looking to score more and he’s not, he’s got to be able to play on both sides of the puck."

I didn't think his defense was bad at all...then again, I think Bylsma has a better vantage point than I

Seems he is being held back with trying to be more defensive than offensive.

I didn't fully get what bylsma's trying to say...from what I've seen so far this season, gus has been playing much better than last season...

and one thing I really hate hearing is when a management-type (or coach in this matter) says work smarter, not harder...

working smarter has gotten this team where exactly?...nine games in a row of two goals or less?

Giving up 4 goals last night in Bylsma's opinion is 3 or 4 too many

Eggzactly . These guys scored a ton to get to the NHL. Tough to make a player into what he isn't programmed to be . I say tell them to do what got them here. But also use some of the things you learned if the situation comes up. Don't think too hard about it or it will pass you by.

That shift was the only time I heard his name. Not sure what his ice time was but I'd bet it was not a lot. Just his production in Rochester should warrant a bigger look up here, especially with our D not even having a goal yet.
