He's getting into the groove I never said he was gonna light it up this year lol

I said we should make the trade before he becomes untouchable

- GERBE!!!75PTS

wait what..... the 2nd over all pick is supposed to be an impact player, now you want to trade him for someone that is playing even LESS than Sam.... that makes PREFECT SENSE......

So you've gotten what one player right in all of your man crushes...

Let me explain this to you so you can understand...this so called much better offensively player averaged less points per game in his draft year in a much more offensive league than Sam Reinhart...

So if you think he is soooooooooo much more offensively better you're wrong.

Sam Reinhart ppg in his draft year 1.81 in the WHL
Dylan Strome ppg in his draft year 1.69 in the OHL

Also if he is so damn good why can't he crack the lineup for the damn Arizona Coyotes??

- Stripes77

Dylan Strome had 129 points in 68 games his draft year. That's 1.89 PPG

If someone can give me a logical reason for making that trade right this second I would listen, but again none of this makes sense right now.

So he didn't have to face the opposing teams shut down line as frequently is what you're saying...

Also Reinhart was that shut down center in juniors and still put up a ton of points...

- Stripes77

They just don't get it.... let's give up on a #2 pick after he put up 23 goals in his first full year.... PRICELESS.

I'm sorry, Dylan Strom doesn't come up.

But seriously, talk about the bust brothers, Ryan is tearing it up, eh? And he's 23 FFS what's he waiting for!

If a player like strome becomes available and it takes Sam yes ..

Is he a player that's going to contribute every night no I don't think he's ready right now

that 2015 draft class is going to go down in history maybe one of the best

Well, first we have to get the numbers correct

In there respective draft year

Sam Reinhart had 105 in 60 for 1.75 ppg.

Strome had 1.89 PPg

For one if he was in the 2014 draft we would've took him second overall correct ?

The top 10 of the 2014 draft would be in the late first-round that's how good the 2015 draft was

That was my point. People say the Reinharts are busts yet the Stromes aren't exactly tearing it up themselves.

Edit: And what do a Reinhart and a Strome have in common? They were both drafted top 5 by the Islanders.

This is where I took it from, guess they were wrong as well. The author included playoff numbers in there, but I don't think that is correct either though

That Jack Eichel and Connor McDavid were there ahead of him. And that teams that picked needed forwards more than defensemen. Hanifin went 5th btw. Some saying he could go as high as 3.

Now you're just talking about how much Sam sucks, so I guess that is progress after all.

Yeah, and the OHL is the more offensive league.

I just don't see how a Reinhart for Strome trade makes any sense right now. I don't think you break up the chemistry between Sam and Jack either.

It wouldn't make sense right now because it would be towards the future if we traded for him we would obviously have to send him back down he's not ready

That's why I said with Ryan O'Reilly it would be easier to make this trade since we have 2 top centers
