Couturier scores. Mason plays well, and Ghost probably comes back balls on fire after his benching.

I feel empty inside.

According to a large portion of the Pens' board, losing 7-1 one time means that your team is terrible and everything is literally horrible and they're all lazy and stink.

Who is that? Plind?

I think people take his stuff too seriously. I've always been a fan of dark humor.

Even if teams have partially figured him out, it hasn't affected his ability to put up points.

5v5 Points per 60
This year = 1.12
Last = 1.2

5v4 Points per 60
This year = 4.57
Last = 4.27

- JFlyers00

Teams haven't "figured him out." It's just that every mistake he makes this year is ending up in the back of the net. Mason and Neuvirth bailed him out a lot last year.

You could see the team was desperately missing a puck mover on the back end last night. They had a lot of trouble moving the puck through the neutral zone.

I'm not gonna name names, but yes.

It's not even dark humor, it's pure joy at seeing his team do poorly.

This is just my speculation, but I think Hextall promised Lyubimov he would not be sent to the AHL. Which I think is fair enough for a 24 year old who moved his family from Russia to Philly. If he gets sent down, his salary drops from $832,500 to $70,000. There's also the fact that Lyubimov is the only healthy spare forward on the team right now.
- Feanor

It just seems like a waste for a 24 year old.

Non-Flyers question:

Even with a 4-goal debut, is Austen Matthews better or worse that Mitch Marner? Despite the 1-year age difference, I might take Marner given the choice.

Edit: Wow...that was odd.
