Yeah, right? But remember, we don't fire people because they're bad at their job. We wait until the whole city starts screaming about it, then starts turning away from the team all together, then opposing fan bases start saying how we need to fire the coach because playing us has become boring for them, and then we add another 3-4 seasons worth of mediocrity for good measure, and then we consider if a coaching change is warranted.

Figured no one else said it . Yes I was surprised.

Based on what the line-up that Bylsma has been told to ice tonight, the good lord Jesus couldn't coach this team to a victory. In my opinion, the clock doesn't start ticking on Bylsma until he has something resembling an NHL line-up to coach. Give him 20 or 30 games with our Top 6 and Top 4 intact and then let's see how he is doing.

Thats just it though, the guys who arent stepping up/letting the team down, they're for the most part top 6/4 guys.

When he was healthy Kulikov wasnt exactly playing to a point where you'd want to re sign him. Bogosian? lol. Kane? not gunna touch that one (29 other teams might not either). Ennis? pretty sure more turnovers than shot attempts. Moulson? still useless 5v5. Which brings me to the most shocking thing about this team. Don't Foligno and Larsson have like half this teams 5v5 points? How is that even happening?

Not necessarily, we could re-sign. Same situation as Kulikov. They apparently want a young nhl ready centre. Girgensons is young....and a centre....

Eh, I'd consider something like Girgensons for Hanzal and a 2nd. We're not exactly in a good position to be buying rentals. And Hanzal will be 30 in February.

Agreed but if the price was right id at least consider it, see if you cant work out an extension. If not there'd definitely be a market for him on deadline day.

It's crazy how much Christian Ehrhoff has fizzled out. At the time I was pissed, but looking back buying him out was a smart move.

As was I. That being said, you might actually see some resemblance of a transition game were he still here.

I doubt he'd be having much of an impact. He'd just be another big contract for people (myself included) to female dog about.

Still could have made that fit. Ehrhoff's cap hit was only $4 million

Evander Kane, Reinhart, Kyle Okposo
Marcus Foligno, Johan Larsson, Brian Gionta
Evan Rodrigues, Zemgus Grigensons, Matt Moulson
William Carrier, Derek Grant, Nicholas Baptiste

Rasmus Ristolainen, Josh Gorges
Cody Franxon, Jake McCabe
Falk, Fedun

Geez. There's like 3 worthwhile players to watch in this lineup. Most of this team should be retired or in the AHL.

- Buffalo--Sabres

I am an optimistic guy, but I have enjoyed watching the Foligno, Larsson, Gionta line, and I also enjoy watching the young guys like Reinhart, Carrier, Baptiste, and Rodriguez.

It's hopeful thinking to be sure about how nice the team would look if the Foligno, Larsson, Gionta line was truly the third line on the team due to performance.
