So does Russia.
Trump has support from many within the Russian government. Let's be honest, it's been pretty much shown that they already interfered in the US election.
Trump supporting Russia (or, at the very least, not protecting Ukraine) is potentially even more dangerous, especially if he refuses to give support to Nato. This essentially stacks the deck fully in Russia's favour, and would allow for a full invasion of Ukraine. We've already seen fallout from the civil war in Eastenr Ukraine (they shot down a plane FFS), allowing this to progress into a full-scale war throughtout the country would be disasterous.
The ignorance and contempt that Trump has for the rest of the world (beyond those who say nice things about him) could truly be dangerous. - lumlums
I believe Trump has already come out in support of Nato, last week.
Sooner or later, people will have to stop with the doom and gloom and get on with their lives.

Let's not go further into this - as a UK citizen living in US your (acquired?) hate vs Russia and the Russians is very obvious. The anti-Russia propaganda is ungrounded however; let's agree to disagree on this matter. - MaximusAurelius
If you out can't see that Russia is an authoritarian state with very little freedom or respect for rights of minorities you're blind. I get the anti-american establishment sentiment, but my god, RUSSIA?!?!?!
Theres so many reason to not support Russia its baffling,
Carpet bombing in Chechnya
Bombing hospitals in Syria
Shot down MH270
Illegally invaded Georgia, Crimea, Eastern Ulraine, Ahbkazia among others.
These people are (frank)ed in the head. And if Trump does what we all expect him to do we are all royally (frank)ed. |

I haven't spent much time in and around Belleville outside of the occasional camping trip to Picton |

Oh good. I was hoping to find some political discourse in here.
I hate to say it, and it may be the first time ever, but I agree with you completely. I think Putin sees the Trump presidency as a chance to undermine NATO and finally take back the Ukraine and the Baltics at the very least for glory of Russian empire.

Youre wrong man.
People are not going to accept a white nationalist in the White House (Bannon)
Trump won't last 4 years. Its going to be non-stop protests.
Maybe the ignorance towards women and minorities doesn't really bother you, but in that sense you're a minority. |

Yeah like that time Bill and Hillary divided up the entire US oil industry amongst their cronies. I remember that too.
Two completely different levels of corruption. |

There's already a white nationalist in a top advisory position, and the world's leading denier of climate change science has been appointed head of the Environmental Protection Agency. Time to move on guys. |

Around T.O. I usually play Oakridge, Royal Ashburn, Maples, Lakeridge, Glen Cedars, and the like
I try to keep it around 70-80$ during the regular season
I can appreciate a nice course here and there and shell out the cash occasionally though |

I didn't see that, but I did see his earlier comments about not providing NATO protection for countries who do not contribute a certain % of their GDP towards it (Spoiler alert: That would include Canada).
As for the "getting on with their lives" part, the problem is that many believe that they will not be able to as before on account of being a different race/female/LGBTQ etc. and the addition of folks like Bannon to the White house does nothing to dispel these feelings. |

all depends on what your consider long.
but ever since the early part of the 20th century they have been "lead" by dictators whose objective was to look after the masses... by getting rid of the elite.
well they got rid of the elite... and replaced with a different elite on several occasions...
does anyone ever wonder why the Russians have had such high continued interest in the Baltic states and in the Crimea? (here's a hint ... look at a f___ map).
perhaps a little reading on history will inform here... rather than using Rocky III and the rest of the American movies as history lessons.
or if movies really are your means of education... check out the first 10-12 minutes of Enemy at the Gates... |

ya...I trying to keep it around $40-$50 in my kneck of the woods...plus beer...etc gets to be expensive if you play more than once a week.
I almost got to play Devil's Paint or Devils Pulpit way back in the day...but would have had to tee off at like 6am as we were not allowed to be on the course if there were members playing. ( my buddy's bro - in - law used to be the greens keeper ) crazy rules and prices I think for those courses. |

The NATO questions are genuinely complicated - but the European nations should be paying their fair share and haven't forever. The US can't financially afford to step back from NATO.. because it would cut to heavily into their sale of arms and therefore too much into the revenue for companies like Lockeed Martin, Boeing, etc. |

This truly terrifies me. Not only for the obvious implications for the environment, but also the precedent of denying and acting against proven fact. |
