Not awful but seems to be trying to hard to force something a lot of the time. He is clearly frustrated since he is drawing a lot of attention when out there. Just not finding open ice but he at least is covering his own end and battling.

Specifically watching to see how he plays. I don't know how anyone watching closely can make an excuse for him right now. On the last power play he had about a 15 second patch when he looked dangerous. Otherwise, he looks lost and tentative.

I was thinking more he was trying to hard, seemed to be trying to force the puck through too much traffic to make plays instead of keeping it simple. Then had that run you mentioned where he was making simple smart passes then worked in for that shot with traffic in front.

He'll adjust but isn't doing too bad, he ain't hurting us.

It's Poochy Pochmara out there, about as bad a ref as you will find. Guy could have no one around him, hit a rut, fall, and that ass would call a tripping penalty and just grab the nearest opposing player to call it on.
