They get their own country. Quebec doesn't.

Tell me again who the "weak ones" are...

I'll go with the ones tricked into believing they got their own country as the weak ones.

Answer the question, would you do the deal today? Not who's better, I'm asking, who would you rather have in our shoes right now?
- mykokes

Definitely Matthews and Marner.

But what if Seguin had laser vision and Hamilton had bionic arms

They'd probably be banned from using these superpowers, so still M&M.

Hamilton would become very appealing to Vancouver. Bionic arms would come in handy when killing Matt Martin.

Hmmm...

It's not an easy question imo.

I mean you have way more information about what you have in Seguin and Hamilton than with Marner and Matthews.

I like both M's and I think they'll be great for the Leafs for years to come.

For argument sake, wouldn't you say Matthews eventually turning into Seguin would be considered him fulfilling his potential? And therefore wouldn't acquiring him be "safer"?

As for Hamilton... he'd make the Leafs defense much better and give them a pretty good first pairing with Rielly for a long period of time....

It would be an interesting choice really.

If you go with M&M, you take a gamble, might be a safe gamble but it's still a gamble that both of them will become better players than Seguin and Hamilton.

I hope it turns out to be the most mundane game ever. That way all those friction burns Vancouver fans gave themselves from furiously masturbating to Gudbransons comment while circling the next game on their calendars will be for nothing.

I don't think there is a chance in hell any sane person would trade Matthews and Marner for Seguin and Hamilton

they have a very likely potential of being stars in this league. 15 games in they have exceeded their expectations.

Hamilton and Seguin. 5 years older. Both said to be "problems" . Seguin with his partying and Hamilton for what ever the (frank) he does.

Hamilton is not on any of those three players level in terms of value.

still wouldn't do it... Marner's going to gain 30lbs over the off-season working with Gary "Superman" Roberts... and Matthews will be awesome on December 26th...

so no... I still wouldn't make the trade.

I've heard MTL is the best city on the continent for ordering interactive ballet performances directly to your hotel room.
