I'm very happy Hayes has finally been buried by Claude. Hopefully when Vatrano and pasta are healthy, he is the odd man out. They are better without his poisoning the top 9

I know I'm a horrible person for mentioning this, but morrow looks like he is having another pretty solid game. He is noticeable, and in a positive way out there.

That's been the difference between him and C. Miller over they last few games that they have swapped out.

I think Morrow looks much better than Colin has thus far this season.............

He went down pretty hard there and got up to try and continue the play... Unlucky. He was playing pretty well last night.

No, you're not a horrible person for mentioning it... you're a horrible person for being wrong that Morrow is better than C Miller

I'm bad at picture stuff lol, but this pretty much sums up why I don't like Spooner. Backes, the consummate pro, making the effort to stay on side while Spooner apparently just doesn't give a (frank). Cost the team 2 pts

And this is the overall point of the statement. C. Miller had not look very well, in fact he sticks out for more negatives than positives on a nightly basis.

Isn't he supposed to be a stud top pair guy? Yet we have not seen anything like that from him all season.

But we shall chug along with the myth that he is better and will be awsome while bashing other players of the same age that have in all honesty shown more.

My statement from the past, "time will tell" I guess.

Do you have a pic that doesn't work for the tip in goal that he got when he went to the front of the net and stick lifted a defender a couple games ago too?

Morrow sucks and c. Miller is good. Yet ZERO EVIDENCE has been presented to show Miller is much more than a "blah" player JUST LIKE Morrow.

Spooner is soft and sucks and Czarik is good. Yet Zero evidence is present to support this agreement.

So much emotinal prejudice and lingering stereotypes with ALL the young players it's pathetic to be honest.

How anyone can judge most these guys with less than a season full time under there belt is nuts, unless they clearly stand out.

Morrow seems to have upside but lacks consistency, c. Miller does too but lacks hockey I.q., spooner has put up points and has vision, speed, skill and playmaking ability but is soft and needs two way developing including being harder on the stick, etc......

There seems to be more than just the I hate this guy and love this guy emotion part most show........maybe?

Actually, there's substantial evidence that suggests Colin Miller could be good and Spooner and morrow aren't. I'm not gonna do a bunch of research for you , but Miller has great advanced stats that show he helps drive possession, while the other two do not. It's not playing favorites. My honest opinion is that Spoonet is great playing off the rush and on the PP. He is basically awful at all other facets of the game (faceoff, D zone, forecheck, wall battles etc) Seriously, he has NEVER been good 5v5. He had like 15 good games with Pasta and Looch, then got a boatload of points on the PP last year. Otherwise he just skates circles in the D zone while Tuukka gets hammered. Just don't trust the guy

EDIT: If you click the pic thing it links to the pic I wanted. Like I said in that post, that lack of effort/awareness on those little things is what pisses me off about him

Bitter much? He's an average player not much more. 85 points over 153 NHL games played so far. Not the worst but again I wouldn't hold to him long term. Also, you're comparing the progression of young forwards vs the progression of young defenseman again. At least compare him to something that's an actual comparable. Like one of the other younger forwards.

That is random... it's bringing me to a Google image search of Andrej Nestrasil, but with 4 photos, one of them being the offsides call on the Bruins from the other night.

You might want to go back and re-watch that goal.... Spooner got his stick lifted by the defender and was off balance, and the puck just happened to deflect off of him. He didn't lift the defender's stick, and he didn't tip the puck. He went to the front of the net and got a lucky bounce. I'm okay with that!

Here's a sweet gif:

That being said, I like Spooner. I think he's a skill player, and to be honest, we need more of those. Most Bruins fans are looking for 12 David Backes on the ice at all times... that's not going to happen, nor would that be a good way to build a team. Hockey is turning more into a skill game, so the typical "Bruins mold" has to be broken. We need more skill players. (Pastrnak is going to be the best player on this team in a couple of years. Better than Bergeron and Marchand.) That being said if we can package Spooner for a good D-man, I wouldn't complain either. I think Vatrano could replace him in the top 6 when he returns.

And you're the advanced stat guy here on the boards aren't you? Personally I don't care for them much, but if you compare C Miller to Morrow, C Miller wins in almost every stat category. So there is evidence to show that C Miller is better than Morrow. You can just watch the games too. That's usually how I like to form my opinions. From watching the games I'd say it's pretty clear that C Miller has a lot more skill than Morrow does.

Well using the Eye test I say Morrow has played better than CMiller this year, I've been saying for the past year to END the Morrow experiment but he has been the better of the 2 being compared here (and that's really not saying much)

CMiller has been far too shakey with the Puck on his stick and I don't see anyway you could argue that.

Well then we disagree, because I think Morrow looks like a player looking to be safe and not lose his job, and C Miller looks like he's trying to contribute. But that's just my opinion. I don't think I would agree with the fact that he looks "shakey" but he has seemed a little overwhelmed when he gets the puck in the offensive zone. He just tends to shoot everything, no matter what weird angle or position he is.

Look, I'm not trying to say that C Miller is the second coming of Ray Bourque or anything, but I think he looks like he's got some potential, and Morrow just looks like he's playing to the best of his ability right now. It's going to suck when K Miller is back and both C Miller and Morrow are in the pressbox every game.

But if we are going to talk about looking "shakey" with the puck, it's not C Miller or Joe Morrow that needs to be mentioned, it's Chara. Whhhhheeeeewwweeee does that guy look bad with the puck on his stick. More turnovers than anyone on the team.

Nestrasil sounds like a drug they advertise with the obnoxiously long commercials. You know the ones that show people being "happy" and has like 4,000 side effects?

Nestrasil may cause, Boredom, Nausea, Off-sides, Nugent-Hopkins, Yakupov, Anal Leakage... in rare cases patients develop cases of Chiarelli. If you have a CJ grit boner lasting longer than 4hours consult a local bartender.
