And remember ... this has NOTHING to do with the Leafs. There is NO reason to discuss the LEAFS in conjunction with this story.

Firstly, Krejci has a NMC he would have to waive. And one of the main reasons that the Bruins have been better lately is Krejci's been rounding back into form after his surgery. I could see Spooner part of a package for Shatttenkirk but not Krech.
I think a one for one trade with Krejci would make the Bruin's a worse team. When 46 is healthy, ( and he looks to be now) he is a huge part of the Bruin's offense.
Unless there is some significant forward depth coming back with Shattenkirk this is not a good deal for the B's.
Besides, the Bruins D with Rask on his game looks pretty good right now.
Better to wait, and get a deal that doesn't subtract from the Bruins roster right now. - bruinsnerd
meh.. he's always hurt and never gives an effort during the season. Bruins have 17 centers, and the reason they are doing better is they are sitting hayes and the third line is putting up points. Bruins need defense, and if it takes Krejki and his overpaid salary, I'd say do it. |

Not likely. Still think he ends up in NY... Nash having a bounce back year and no way Rangers keep blue line the way it is. Klein, Girardi and Clendening are only righties. They've been playing both Skjei and Holdin on right side. Watch for Klein to get moved in separated deal for pick or prospect. Then look for Nash to Blues near deadline if not earlier |

Why would the Blues ever want to trade a future star defenseman? IMO, it doesn't add up. |

future star? the guy is going to be 28 in a few weeks, and will be getting a big raise in a few months. Parayko has a brighter future imo. |

I agree that Shattenkirk may very well end up in New York......but I just don't think the Blues would want anything at all to do with Nash, or Krejci for that matter. The Blues are going thru a mini rebuild, and have some good young guys that will need to be re-signed. I can't see them taking on fat contracts for either one of those guys. If they are trading Shattenkirk because they don't think they can afford to re-sign him, why take back a $7+ million contract on a guy that is 30 (+ in Nash's case). Shattenkirk will only be traded for younger players, in my opinion. |

Shattenkirk Blows get off this (frank)ing guy. So many other dmen id take over him.
And honestly The Bruins D is getting better. Its on the up. If they trade anyone on the D core it should be Krug. Krug is good for the power play but is way to small and struggles in his own zone. I think the Bruins right now are a goal scorer away from being really good. I think Spooner should be back on the 3rd line even tho the krecji line has looked good the last two games. But switch spooner with czarnik. Czarnik wants to contribute hes fast attacks the puck. And i really like him on the blue line for moving the puck..
