and 1 less contract on the books.

Yes! Won't have to pass if luck would have it that another Ben Smith calibre player hits the wire.

I feel like I should help bring stability and order over there.

Like I do over here.

I think you should try it. It can't hurt?

Anyone still concerned about Ander7en? I'm imagining how good he'll look behind a halfway competent D corps

I think he still has plenty of things to work on.

But he's improved his positioning considerably since the first few games of the season, which has made a major difference.

It's amazing how the simple removal of Marincin seems to make the D look better.

Not saying Hunwick-Polak is any good, but for a 3rd pair, I can somewhat stomach it.

great game last night. when the jambozmar line is a rocking we are in for a good night.

andersen was good as well.

nice to see nylander get out of the slump. although if u look at matthews after that goal. he didnt celebrate at all. lol he really wanted to be the one to break the slump. he will eventually just dont break it while forgetting defense! much rather see him commit to defense right now. cause well you know...... we need it

i was one of the ones that was pissed at the leaf management for picking " a small forward" with the first real pick of a rebuild.
but man Marner has been the face of the year for the buds so far. damn glad i was wrong !! go leafs go!!

Wasn't that Hunwick and Marincin as a pair last night?

Yeah, I'm talking about the pairs at practice today, and Babcock saying that Marincin is scratched and Carrick is back

Rielly-Zaitsev
Gardiner-Carrick
Hunwick-Polak

Polak and Marincin should stick in the press box. Let Hunwick and Corrado play the 3rd pairing minutes. That should be our top four though. For right now at least.

I saw the perfect microcosm of Hunwick last night. He put himself in perfect position to cleanly intercept a pass in his D zone, then promptly coughed it up again trying to flip it out for a change. He has the brain of an NHL D, but not the skill.

If only they could transplant his brain into Gardiner's body.

Anybody else think maybe Matthews should be traded? Think about it, if the Leafs could trick a team into trading a potential lottery pick, there's chance they could pick 1st 2 years in a row! Now that's fast tracking the rebuild!

If we are going by Vancouver fan logic, we WOULD be getting out from under a HUGE BUST that is Matthews. So I think this is the right move as long as we get at least a 3rd along with that 1st.

A 1st overall #1 center is a 1st overall #1 center, but a lottery pick could be anything!

It could even be a 1st overall #1 center!!!!!

the only thing i can think of that continues to get him ice time. is that he must have naked pictures or babcock and is using them as blackmail.
other than this i dont get how hunwick keeps drawing into the lineup.
