Was at the game last night.

Marner is amazing. In both ends of the ice he's just so talented.

Mathews had some great chances. He's getting snake bitten

So is Matthews

Just needs someone to get him the puck. Pretty boy and David Clarkson II isn't cutting it.

- Garnie

If only we had a player with dynamic vision and incredible playmaking abilities who could feed Matthews the puck.

In other news, that Marner kid is doing okay......

The best rookie has clearly been Dylan Strome!
- AdamFrench

Dynamic Dylan
Stealthy Strome

Coyotes have some good young talent though, fun team.

They have some really mediocre cogs that muddy some of the excitement. Like Crouse, Perlini and Samuelsson who are all pretty poop.

Yeah but what young building team doesn't have poop mixed in? Its like eating a bowl of lucky charms but only really wanting the marshmallows. When really you should have just poured yourself a bowl of marshmallows.

Can anyone explain to me why Adam Brooks is still in the WHL? 25pts in 11 games and hes not good enough to play on the Marlies?

I think they're staggering their prospects across draft years: the Marlies are doing well, the top guys that are there are getting tons of ice-time and playing in all situations, plus there are three NHLers down there in Greening, Laich, and Michalek, so not sure if there's room for Brooks right now.

He is in his 5th year though, he needs to be moved to Pro to keep his development going. Very rare that someone succeeds when spending a 5th year in junior....

I wonder if Islanders would be looking for scoring help up from for one of their D.

What the Islanders need more than anything is a goalie that can win games in the NHL

Well Marincin looked pretty good in the crease, going post to post and hanging from the cross bar, perhaps they take a chance on him in net....

Tyler Johnson kind of did, staying in the W till he was almost 21.

He wasn't going to get a top 6 role with the Marlies, so why waste him there?
The PPP article makes some good points for sure, but as it is, there's just too much forward depth on the Marlies for Brooks to be put in a position to succeed.

Connor Brown will be fine, especially when they get Komarov out of there.

And I really hope the Leafs capitalize on Bozak's offensive start this year. He has been on similar paces (last year when I won the bet). And then cools down. I know that Marner is like a more defensive Phil Kessel with JVR and Bozak, but long term, the leafs need to capitalize on these ups and downs.

Did we address Mikes word salad yet?

Forward Zach Hyman, who did not practice at MasterCard Center on Monday without forward Zach Hyman, participated in the morning skate and will play on the left side with Auston Matthews and Connor Brown.

Laine is looking facking great.
- Fakepartofme

He is. Though I'd be wary about whether he can maintain that shooting percentage of 24% (for comparison, Stamkos - typically the leader here - is at 17%, consistent with his usual sh%). What I do like about Matthews is that he is up there in shots (T4 with Ovie and Seguin), and he's likely to improve upon his 9.5% (which is still quite good).
