Here comes the music convo's, haha. In the mid 80s when I was 9/10 & first started buying music (w my paper route/allowance $) I bought cassettes. But in the early 90s I started buying records when I could. I remember at the Busy Bee mall in Massapequa LI there was a old record shop. I got the Clash "London Calling" & "Give em Enough Rope" & Metallica "Kill Em All" which I was hoodwinked into believeing was some special limited edition. Live & learn.
That started me along w my dads old records which were in great condition like Zeppelin, Beatles, Cream, Dylan I was on my way. - RustyKuntz
Yeah, me too. If I could go back and do it over again I would buy records and blank tapes. The industry was getting away from records and offering bonus tracks on cassettes. Bastards.
The problem with early CDs is the compression used to "remaster" the albums. Most of them sound like crap; Aqualung, Joe Jackson's Look Sharp, etc.
My parents had a really small record collection, Joan Baez, Dylan, etc. I kept the early Dylan and traded in a lot of the others.
Now my kid raids my collection of CD and LP. Even cassettes aer making a comeback. I bought a cassette demo at a hardcore show this summer. Fortunately not the norm since most bands still put out a 7".
Waivers aside NYR must look at Boo as the long term asset here along with the fact that they basically know what they have with Hrivik and to a lesser extent Jessen.
Im very excited to see what Boo can do and see if he gives management yet another tough roster decision this year.
Oscar Lindberg must be shyting his pant a bit with how this season has gone for him personally

if Lindberg was healthy when the season started, and AV played Grabner over him, how badly would AV have been killed over it?
best thing about Lindberg is that we know he can play if he gets the opportunity and his cap hit is peanuts at 650K for this year - jimbro83
If Boo can come up and handle himself well could make Lindberg an afterthought. While it would be nice if Klein went in the exp draft, if you can package him with oscar for a younger d man I think you make that move

Exactly. I like Lindy, but at this point in the season he is just depth. That is a move I would make. Problem is, I think most teams would rather have a Sjkei/Lindy package.

I'm not inlcuding Skjei even in a Trouba trade at this point
