To this day I'm still convinced vinyl is the best quality to listen to music in.
- RustyKuntz

I have a few 8-tracks, just for nostalgia. Beware the forthcoming hipster comments about vinyl, which I still buy, especially since new records come with a download to convert to convenient portable lossy digital files.

I hear you Jan but that was changed in the last CBA. Players only need to clear waivers once annually now. Frk had to clear when sent down by Carolina as he didn't actual clear the 1st time when sent down by Detroit being claimed by Carolina.

Teams can choose to put a player on waivers again in hopes the 2nd time they might get claimed. Usually though this is used to address unconditional waivers for the purpose of mutaul contract termination.

If anyone wishes to punish themselves, the CBA is available for consumption in it's entirety on the NHLPA Website.

And yet... I'm aware of 8 tracks

Sold my old EQ, reel to reel and 8track player at a yard sale a few years ago. Some hipster wanna-be bought them.

I find it a bit funny, I know exactly what a reel to reel is... from a game I played when I was a bit younger. It was in the retro furniture category

If a player clears waivers at the start of the season and then is called up again, he does not need to clear waivers when sent down again unless he has played ten games or has been with the NHL club for 30 days.

No tension at all & no ill will intended. I enjoy reading Jan's post.s Just addressing differences in opinions or highlighting errors when necessary.

I think I pegged the NYR's D scenario perfectly before the puck even dropped on the season.

Not may players currently effected by this scenario but Justin Falk was the 1st this season waived by Buffalo out of camp has since been summoned & returned to the AHL not having to clear waivers again. Angrighetto just got called back up, he was waived earlier & he will soon be heading back down again when Lehkonen returns from injury.

It's early but this scenario will play out dozens of times over the course of the season.

Thanks for the clarification. Had read the CBA and seen that plus additional items but the information you gave helps clarify it. So if CK20 and/or Buchnevich are sidelined for a while and Jooris isn't ready for a bit longer, then it's possible they would have had to go through waivers. However, very unlikely it would occur. Plus Boo is a better fit for the team's current style of play.

Not trying to be a douche but you do know the " button is for a reply Post. I notice you never use it. Just randomly post & it can get confusing as we might not know who you are replying to. Just a FYI

Sure you are.
I don't mind aging at all since I am probably in better shape and mobility than most people my age. The only problem is that it takes a bit longer to heal. I am still awesome!

Here comes the music convo's, haha. In the mid 80s when I was 9/10 & first started buying music (w my paper route/allowance $) I bought cassettes. But in the early 90s I started buying records when I could. I remember at the Busy Bee mall in Massapequa LI there was a old record shop. I got the Clash "London Calling" & "Give em Enough Rope" & Metallica "Kill Em All" which I was hoodwinked into believeing was some special limited edition. Live & learn.

That started me along w my dads old records which were in great condition like Zeppelin, Beatles, Cream, Dylan I was on my way.

Computer glitch we have messed around with my computer security settings with IT guy & hockeybuzz has tried to help resolve as well. Only gives me that option on my own posts not everyone else's. Which is really stupid.

How weird that the Rangers have not yet played the Devils, though have now played the Oilers twice.
- Fenrir

Not weird at all NHL does not schedule AHL teams as opponents
