Its a shame a few tools are tuning this into Garth's stream. I enjoy Pach's opinions and objective reporting. I look forward to hearing some of the inside information we get from people like '89. There are far too many whiners here now. A rebuild doesn't mean flip the switch and we are in the third round of the playoffs working off a President's Trophy run.

There are too many moving parts, too much learning to do for both the rookies and the veterans.Way too much of trying to find the players who can play well together, and on top of that having to shuffle for injuries.

One "brilliant blogger" tried to compare us to the Penguins missing either Cindy or Malkin at certain points of the season. We are not anywhere near the Penguins team now, so stop the comparisons, it makes you look even worse. They forget that it took the Penguins 3-4 years to remove themselves from the basement, we are on year 2 of putting significant upgrades in players on the ice. And yes we still have at least 5 players that will not be part of the finished product on this team.

We are making progress, it is slow, and far slower than most want, but we are making progress. Wishing to jettison a player within their first year or two on the team because they are not where that person thinks they should be is ridiculous. It used to be a rookie defenseman was between 25 and 28 years old and most rookie forwards were between 21 and 24. These kids at 18 to 19 years old are not the answer yet. They have to develop.

If you don't like this, oh well. Patience is necessary, even with the coach. At this time last year, our lines (all 4 forward and 3 defensive) weren't the same for more than 2 games in a row.

I still believe that there is still an outside chance that the team can make the playoffs as built. Lehner is performing better than I expected and Nilson is definitely a decent backup. We will eventually get our injured players back. And other teams will also go through bad stretches will injuries and just bad droughts. There are still 65+ games left, sorry chicken little, the sky is not falling yet.

What freaking rookies? I can't get over this narrative that this is an infant team with so much growing to do. LOOK AT WHO PLAYS

Gionta is 100 years old
Kane has 400 plus games under his belt
Foligno 300
Okposo, O'Reilly, Moulson all veterans
Risto has over 200
Reinhart has over 100

Are you talking about Baptiste and his 8 minutes a night? Are we waiting for our 4th line to "grow"? good grief.

This team is sucking. Hard.

The curse is stronger than ever. Especially after the fortunes of Cleveland and Chicago this year. SBroads, we may never be able to have nice things.

I know, injuries, but has anybody looked at Risto's TOI last week? 25:54, 21:16(his only light game), 29:57, 24:48, 27:15. He's slowed down some too from his torrid(Maybe our resident Scottish student can answer why when, in the UK, or at least in F1, they say "torrid" they mean really bad when it's the complete opposite here?) pace to start the season, but he's still playing well, his positioning is much better and he's not getting beat as much.

Reinhart has just over 100. He's at what? 106? What a grizzled vet.

We'll switch out Bogo for Reinhart.

Ok, you named 8 players, that's not even half the team. And playing on historically bad teams doesn't really help. Ask the Oilers of the last 10 years.

Without Doughty who I consider the best defensemen in the league what is Brayden McNabb?

Again how do you know he had no backup plan? Because he didn't sign someone on July 1st? Do you personally know he didn't try? It is very hard to believe that a GM of a professional sports team one who doesn't get too high and too low and has said he wants to get better everyday didn't have a backup plan?

- Stripes77

Okposo, the best player to actually hit UFA, was the backup plan. And by the time Vesey was over there was no on left.

You're right I only named 8

Kulikov - 406
Franson- 470
Gorges- 698
Larsson- 156

Seriously, we have McCabe and Reinhart who are young and playing key roles. That's it. Our youngest player hasn't played a game yet

Any thoughts on Lehner's game in net?!
I am still not sold that he is a clear-cut #1 goalie for this team!!!

Serious question. Has he ever stopped a shoot out goal? I don't remember.

I'm too lazy to look up what other teams have in comparison. But the fact remains the Sabres are the 2nd youngest team in the league.

WTF are the Patriots doing? I'm glad they're losing, but they're giving the game to the Seahawks. Is Brady hurt or something? I haven't seen this conservative of a gameplan from Brady in a long time.

8-2 in my football league. 7 in a row. Got lucky, other guy (frank)ed up and left Moncrief who was on bye in. And I only won by just under 9 points. I would've lost had he put DeVante Parker in.

Well Bills fans, I guess we can take solace in the Patriots giving up the same amount of points to the Hawks as the Bills while playing at home and scoring 1 point less. This can only mean the Bills are poised to beat the Patriots 25-24 in the Divisional round of the playoffs this year. Reverse the curse!

You better hope that he doesn't pick up some one for tomorrow's game
