I'll put the prices in perspective for you overall, as a season ticket holder.

I'm part of a group of 5 people that split tickets in the 300 level, section 317 to be exact. When the friend of mine who has the tickets in his name first started getting seasons, it was for the 2006-2007 season. His 1/5 of the tickets cost him $300. This year, for that exact same breakdown, it cost us over $600 a person ($620 if I'm remembering correctly).

So in 10 years, the ticket prices have doubled. The reasoning behind it is due to revenue sharing. They have to keep within a certain percentage in order to qualify. But it's very hard to justify paying that kind of cash when the in-arena experience isn't good. Lauren Hall (the girl that does all the little games and stuff) is a complete moron and is NOT a nice person, at all.

In 10 years of having our seasons, we've won nothing. Not 1 stinking thing. At this point, it's old and we've pretty much had it because it's just not worth it to truck ourselves down there in the middle of February, so this is most likely the last season we have them.

wow this is incredible. I had no idea about revenue sharing affecting ticket cost to be honest. I completely understand why you would not purchase them another year, especially for the sub par product

Too many people let it have too much of an impact on their mood/day to day lives. For me, it's entertainment and while much of it hasn't been very entertaining, I don't let it get to me.

I can't change it. So I don't let it bother me.

- HonkFortheGoose

I recently had an epiphany about sports affecting my everyday life and mood. I now see them as a luxury and part of my life rather than BE my life

some part of me wishes for a protest of fans by not attending games...bills or sabres. Not one person. Just to say we can not show up if this product continues. Unfortunately, I also understand that if we don't show up a team can get moved somewhere where tickets would be sold. Its really sad to be honest

Eh, actually a few of us said that the sustainability of the wins against the Wild and Sens was probably not likely.
- sbroads24

I think it's unlikely that the current losing streak is sustainable.

Russ Brandon is very good at what he does. However, the platform has a lot to do with it. Despite the declining ratings, the NFL is still a very big deal, and the Bills are boosted by that. Ticket sales aren't necessarily driven as much by winning. In the NHL, unless you're in Toronto or Montreal, the quality of product drives ticket sales.
- buffalofan19

This rings true. The loudest most packed arenas within the last few years have definitely been the best teams. Capitals, Blackhawks, and Kings all have great teams and a packed arena

It's sad because I have a theory that you don't have to have a championship team in the NHL for it to be fun. 2009-2012 for example. You still have your rivalry games, win streaks, or payback games against a guy we might not like. But this has just gone on too long. Leafs games not selling out, scoring 7 goals in 6 home games. An environment and atmosphere that is just flat our embarrassing. The atmosphere alone is enough to make you want to stop.
