last night was an ok game it was nice to get the "W"
i would have liked to see the lines if changed at all like this
Soshnikov - matthews - nylander **
JVR - kadri - marner
hymen - bozak - komorov
brown - smith - martin
**(how you justify breaking up nylander and matthews boggles the mind) - Mandree85
I'd actually prefer Marner on the same line as Matthews. I would dangle Nylander for a young d-man. Yes, yes I know -- Willie is phenomenal, but we are in desperate need for another stud defender. |

I'd like to keep him. We need secondary scoring and that's where it'll come from.
Keep our young core together. |

And yes.. marner with mr. america looks epic. Marner can feed him all day. |

shut your dirty mouth!!!! lol
no nylander stays.
if we are going to trade to shore up defence
bozak , jvr, komorov, soshnikov, kapanen, are the pecies i would be starting with,
matthews, nylander, marner, reilly, anderson probably even kadri are untouchable at this point. |

The one guy I have been a bit disappointed in is Connor Brown.
Not expecting him to produce at the level of the big 3, but with all of his ice time he should have more than 2 points.
Hopefully he will get it together soon. |

I'd prefer it be someone like JVR to go for a defender.. or draft them this summer. This year is going better then last year, but we're still probably drafting in the top 10 once the dust settles. |

I love browns game right now.
How on earth are ou saying he looked mediocre in the ahl? He was pretty much a ppg. He was easily their best forward in the playoffs. |

He was at around .85 ppg in the AHL.. seems to have succeeded at every level.
Give him some time to get accustomed. He started on the 4th. I think he's more of a set up man, jvr/kadri/brown is a solid line 2.
Oh, he's also cheap AF. |

Because players judgement is on a few games here in toronto
Without watching him a lot of the time. Just see 14 gp 2 points = bust.
I think 10 of those were with martin and smith |

just never shone. never saw him as a star. just seemed like ahl was too low a level for him and he needed to go to th nhl. and when you make that transition you point production will drop. i was expecting a 3rd liner at best. just my opinion |

He's very defensively responsible and has a lot more to give defensively. |

Hopefully the threat of losing a quality D to expansion draft will force some teams with more depth on the blue line to move some players for younger forwards that are exempt from the draft. That scenario plays into the Leafs area of strength quite nicely. |

Exactly.
Brown getting no pp time and playing on the pk. He's not getting filled in everytime he's on the ice. He's playing well. |
