my guess is we see very very few transactions for the leafs this year... its becoming pretty obvious that this is a "let's see what we got" kind of year so they know what is needed moving forward.
that and you arent getting hamilton for brown and gardiner.. not a chance. doubtful the flames even move him unless its a blow them away kind of offer... why trade him now? his stock is way too low. that and calgary paid a 1st and two 2nds for him... brown and gardiner would get laughed at. |

tbh... IF the flames were shopping him (and i sincerely doubt they are, taking a call and actively shopping a guy are two very different things) that would be a big ass red flag for me.
why would two GMs want to get rid of someone after only a couple of years who is young and has top 4 if not top 2 upside?
