News flash.... WD considering new lines for next game.

DD to play on 3 lines.
Burr to center Bo and Sutter on Scoring Line.
LE to play with Sedins when DD needs a rest.
Baer, Guance and Granlund to ride the pine and watch Chaput play slip and fall with Skille.

Improve defensive system by shooting from blue line and line up at Center so middle is clogged.

Getting tired of hearing these rumours of trading prospects for scoring. Let it go, build from within. We can accept some poopy seasons to get better. If they trade OJ for scoring now, they will lose more fans..
Also read the piece on Gillis wanting Larkin, but ownership getting involved in drafting Virtanen...Very troubling.

- moondawg

JB pretty much shut that rumor down on trades. Larkin is nice but JV has more potential as unique elusive power forward.... rare breed... hard to develop.

Love the Stats. Loui really needs to put the puck in the net with some consistency.
I disagree that WD isn't going to be fired soon. Two years of the same thing while the rest of the stats are getting better, with different coaches.

- manvanfan

He's on the hot seat for sure with Linden comment that team is underperforming... you can blame players so much until coach gets the axe for not finding a way.

I'm hopeful he's leaning towards skill, speed and perhaps size going forward. Lockwood as an example!

Isn't that what JV is supposed to have ...?

I think Benning will make a desperation move with JV. I am not for it but I have a bad feeling one is coming
- VANTEL

What gives you that indication...? JB doesn't sound or look desperate he's a coach or two plus another draft or so away from that... He needs help with trades and contracts so another AGM would be in order. TL may intervene with that cause he's not happy how things are going and how this will reflect on his reputation.

Look if you want to say impossible that's fine. Point is about uncertainty that could lead to this becoming an option to be looked at. If you read the whole post it says not likely. If you take the whole thing in then you would see this is not happening. There are just too many factors against it from ever happening.

However, if you remember years ago in some dark days of poor attendance and low Canadian dollar with struggling team and ownership change with Canucks there was talk of it. Recently there was talk about Oilers to Seattle before rink approval.

When there is uncertainty possibilities arise that seemed unthinkable and if the trajectory finds this team in the gutter for years this may arise with ownership change. The discussion at least which puts it all in the realm of possibility. Not actuality which we are in agreement.

Again is a move ever likely ... no... and a lot must go completely wrong. Plus earlier point that Booner also brought up later too that league probably would want expansion money from Seattle over allowing a move.

Then we should discuss the Canucks moving to Stockholm because they have a pretty solid fan base in Sweden.

It's just as likely.

Ghost town.... guess sign of the times ... how empty will the seats be on Sunday...? Will the families come out with the kids...? Canucks need to promote some discounts for family packs and discounts for kids. Need to hook new generation somehow or they will follow other teams on TV.

Saw on twitter he played in london with Horvat, why not try him on that line, or on the second line, its better to put someone in a shot to succeed with his AHL numbers over Dorsett whos currently second line

You're stuck on likely and ignoring the wording of NOT likely. But hey you seem to want to keep making the same point so have fun with that...

Having a guy like griffith on the second line would make for more entertaining hockey then Dorsett there. Theres no downside to claiming him

It would be a desperate move that would solve nothing. Other teams waiver scraps and other castoffs & fringe players have done sweet f*ck all thus far.

Sometimes right player right team you never know ... Grabner was a great waiver pick up for the Isles where the Canucks seem to find themselves to be in same position now years later. But heck this team would rather play plugs so it's all a pipe dream anyway.

I agree with this. Besides, Utica needs players and Chaput is useless. Bo needs some dynamic wingers and a former teammate with whom he had success in London is not the worst place to start.

Some things never change, I'm still amazed at some post and posters. Max Betts wins the post of the last two months with this contribution earlier today,
Today @ 5:40 PM ET
You guys are Fkn incredible, every day someone else is responsible for the poop show that is the Canucks. Last week it was JB, this week everyone was ready to sacrifice WD at the alter, and today its FA.

This is a multi-million dollar business. They employ a huge staff and the on-ice product is ONE FACET OF A MULTI MILLION DOLLAR BUSINESS. If you think you can do better, how come no one is reaching out to you and your infinite wisdom?

The whining and the blame is becoming intolerable. You all should be sent to the comets message board until you've matured and can deliver post after post, consistantly.

That was spot on Max,

Hasn't Burr been playing with Bo and Baer the last couple of games? Griffith's doesn't fit in with all their young skilled palyers so maybe it would be worth a try?

Are you insinuating something? I've got to admit that I have considered creating an alt just so I can go all stupid like some posters here, but I will say truthfully that I don't have one yet...key word is yet.

I don't know, would we not be interested in guys from Chi, Was, Pit, etc if they're decent prospects? Just because we're not there the better teams have better prospects than we do I would suspect so if they're in a sticky wicket then we could take advantage.

Im in Ustream chat watching Philly vs Leafs. Onto Jets/Colorado next. I find it interesting that Philly was the team who lost in SCF one year before Canucks did. Looking at the state of both franchises, they're in (similar) turmoil. The diff is Canucks can't score a goal and flyers cant stop a puck.
