Gulutzan will be fine for you guys he just needs time and personnel much like Van (although Gulutzan may already be a better coach than WD).

You guys gave away ALOT of goals without replacing them. Hudler Byron Jooris Colborne…and if Stajan is the best you can do on the 4th line you are in huge trouble. may as well have Skille out there Basically you have just brought in Brouwer.

regardless how good the Flames D and goaltending has the 'potential' to be you gotta replace the goals you lost especially in the bottom 6…and they haven't done that.

I never understood the hype for Calgary this year. i have zero faith in their goal tending.

I think their D isn't that good. Only reason why everyone thinks they should be good because a few years ago they were amazing. Just because you have the same guys doesn't mean they are going be the same.

Oh yeah because the leafs didn't beat the canucks this season and have a better record.

Ya because a tiny player with speed and excellent possession numbers isn't what van could use to help scoring.

i'm going to have to agree with the others here.
4th line waiver pick up is not the answer.

I think the season is pretty much over already. To be fair, success this year was based on a lot of 'ifs'.

We were banking on JV improving (nope).
Sven continuing his good play of the end of last season (hmmm).
Rodin coming in and providing some finesse/goals (hasn't played).
Loui meshing instantly with Sedins and giving us a sold 1st line (still waiting).
Larsen providing that spark on the PP (disappointing).

The optimist in me is impressed with our D depth and goaltending.
The light at the end of the tunnel is that we can look forward to maybe trading Miller and someone like Tanev or Edler at the TDL for a decent return.

Their D should be good.
But the Sedin's and Loui should also be dominating.

Granlund like Baertschi isn't a second line winger.
Definitely missing Rodin's scoring ability.
Larsen can't help a PP that's run by WD.

If you did away with all the moral and practical reasons why it would be difficult to move the Sedin's and say they somehow approved a trade, i could see Nashville and Florida as being potential destinations due to salary cap and needing some help on offence.

I would consider Sedin x 2 to Florida for

Nick Bjustad, prospect.
1st x 2 (2017/18).

to Nashville for
Colin Wilson, Kevin Fiala
1st x 2. (17/18).

Well Dustin Brown sadly brings Van what they don't have is someone who plays big. His contract is a POS but would need his contract for theirs to take Millers. Zaktoff is one of their goalies. Was in Pitt. and Adrain Kempe swedish LW playing for Ontario Reign. I want to say late first round pick but he might have been early second.

I'd want some further compensation for taking that contract off their hands.

YEs what you say is reflective of the times. Waiver pick up may not be answer it's just desperate teams for offense make moves. Would it work like throwing a bone to WD?Probably not he seems to only like the DD and Skille type player. Would have probably buried that kid in the press box.

Anyway.... if it was late January I would say season was over. However because of the weakness of other teams too and that the Canucks should be winning more then losing based on their play there is time for things to turn. Is it likely based on available players and coaching/systems play probably not.

But there still is a chance. Of course that would require life from the dormant PP and top 9 plus D. The D has been equally disappointing in producing offense. I don't think the system he Canucks play will allow them to win games in this high octane offense of today's NHL. Plus it's boring to watch too.

It's not that bad

I blame the Sedins
Dragon blames WD
Kaptaan blames Tanev
Thunda blames Edler
Lefty blames Benning
ASL blames Aquillini
Booner blames Bloated
Nuck4u blamed the universe.

See just a couple of us

Yes so you know ... and agree too... the perception from the blog was that maybe Stars will be ripe for the picking .... so following your astout know how I add to that view Stars will be tougher now.

Canucks could not deal with their speed last season either.... let's see how WD plays them now...could be his last game if it's a disaster and crowd turns on him.

You take things too serious, sometimes just laugh stuff off. I was joking when I said "thanks tips", not everything needs an explanation.

As for Desjardins, the sound of the crowd chanting "fire Willie fire Willie" would be sweet music to my ears

This is exactly why Canuck fans thought this team was gonna be competitive. They can't let go of the idea they fluked out a 100 point season two years ago.

Miller contract is over this season don't need to take on any bad contracts that run longer on has been vets. Any trade of Miller they could keep money to make deal happen...

Don't see this happening until TDL for teams stocking up for Cup run.

Ridicule and snarky remarks are what wins look at Trump.... love doesn't Trump hate ... negativity trumps views.

Calling the fence sitting Trump supporters "A basket of deplorables" cost Hillary dearly. Look at working class states like Michigan and Wisconsin who were sitting on the fence trying to decide if political correctness was more important than feeding their family. Those two states were Democrat for the last 20 years or so. Both candidates worked a divide...

PTSD...

done for the haters ... Dshiddy was awful last night...

Though firing WD doesn't solve much it's a step in the right direction. As a fan and non expert my view is we need a coach that can develop players and employ a more dynamic system... it's too boring and predictable and has zero room for offensive creativity.

My wife asked me today what is an electoral college. I told her it was a school that makes you smarter by injecting voltage into its students.

She wanted to know if that was legal

Hey guys long time reader 1st time poster. I like Penis and Hilary Clinton. I am not Nucker or Fosco. The flyers and Calgary are my second favourite team. I promise I won't whine or b3tch out when things get tough and people call me out with a different opinion.
