Im in Ustream chat watching Philly vs Leafs. Onto Jets/Colorado next. I find it interesting that Philly was the team who lost in SCF one year before Canucks did. Looking at the state of both franchises, they're in (similar) turmoil. The diff is Canucks can't score a goal and flyers cant stop a puck.

my comment was tongue in cheek. all good.

Any trade ideas then if they need d and we need scoring?

They just need a goalie who can stop a puck. Worst save % in the NHL. I watch a lot of their games because I drafted Steve Mason in a bunch of fantasy leagues

lol... I remember seeing one of your posts of similar tone and content.

If we weren't biatching, I'm not sure what we would be posting about.

I understand discussions about the team, dissatisfaction with players performance, conjuring up different lineups, questioning coaching tactics, debating the general manager and his competency. But my issue is the way in which people post as if they are an expert in the hockey industry.

How many here criticize the people that are actually employed in the field, and in my opinion I would agree because a lot of what is broadcast is sensationalism generated for ratings. BUT, then they do the exact same thing by posting as if their opinion is the only correct formula or course of action for the way forward.

Discuss, debate, be opened minded and objective, I'm sorry but I don't believe for a second that there is any one here that has the right or knowledge to tell anyone that this is how to get the results everyone craves. If there was they would be a GM, coach or president.

But hey this is my opinion and WTF do I know, other than WD is useless, Jarvis is a coaching phenom, JB is incompetent, TL is a yes man, Bo is miscast, Burrows sucks poop, Loui is overvalued, Sbisa should be AHL, JV is being treated poorly, every other waiver wire outcast is worth signing, and on and on.

There lots of things to discuss, no need for baicthing.

he must be hot and cold. I can't remember if it was last season or before that I thought the Flyers might need an upgrade in net and looked at his numbers and they were pretty good.

yeah, it is a funny world.

I feel that I use might and maybe too much. Knowing I'm no expert, just a fan. Try to keep an open mind. but it seems, on the internet, people want to take stands and sides to arguments. it is prolly more fun.

One of my favourite moments, listening to 1040, was when a caller was on the line and they expressed a different opinion than Ferraro and Ferraro went on about how many games he played along with goals, assists, etc... as if a caller couldn't have a different opinion than Ferraro. and just because Ray played, he had to be right or definitive. or another player couldn't have a different experience or views.

My biggest problem when folks have a difference of opinion is when someone tells another person they are stupid or their view is stupid, but don't explain why they think so.

Losing is no fun.

Watching the Oilers vs Stars, working in Alberta, it's amazing how fast these teams are compared to the Nucks. When some of these kids Benning is drafting get into the lineup the team will eventually be a lot quicker, it's a process though.

They just need an owner, managers and coaching staff that are committed to youth.

Other then the Sedins who were never fast and Burr who's up there in age who do you find slow.....?

Of the oldest like LE and Sutter who are not speedsters they got wheels to get there.

Doesn't the style of game the Canucks play slow the team speed game down.... cause guys like Bo, Baer and Hanson plus JV can really fly.
