Do you think that could change with Kane?
- VanHockeyGuy

Nope. Waste of time.

Sedins are too slow and the supporting cast does not look good

I thought they looked good on paper this year but then the games started

I had a friend ask me once who would win the worst NFL team or the best CFL .... and before you ask no he wasn't wearing a helmet and pads for his own safety ... I mean common ...that's like comparing steak and lobster to ramen noodles

Tomorrows Lions & Canucks games won't be a good day for network rankings.

Yep. You see the odd burst but? FA would get the more support if he blew it up. Or even better, sold.

Before you laugh and dismiss it, it would depend on what rules/field they'd be playing on, NFL would dominate NFL rules/field, CFL would dominate on their own. It's been proven that CFL players excel in the NFL, the reverse isn't necessarily true (see Ricky Williams).

Fixed. That said the CFL is still tier 2 football.

Only because the NFL uses the NCAA as it's minor pro development league and has the money to attract the best talent. The CFL will always be handicapped by the fact that it will never have enough money and the CIS focuses solely on education, rather than sport development (not to mention that it doesn't have networks solely to showcase their universities like the PAC-12/Big 10/SEC conferences of the NCAA).

Again, it comes down to money, give the CFL the same budget as the NFL does and a university feeder system and it would give the NFL a run for it's money.

Maybe .

I don't think it matters though . Both teams are showing their true colors and once again it will be a battle for the bottom

- VANTEL

im already excited for next year when we have a lot of money coming off the books ... if you replace wideman, engelland, smid, Raymond you have 12 mill to use ...I could see bouma or stajans last year bought out too

This year for van is about figuring who will be returning and who won't be ...next year will burrows be back at a discount ...who backs up marky ? Some money there to spend as well

Watch the Lions game, the Stars will walk all over the Canucks even with their depleted lineup, they're still a fast skilled team and it looks like Jamie Benn woke up.
- LeftCoaster

We suck vs Dallas even with a good lineup. I watched that entire game vs EDM last night and DAL was not only in the game all the way they dictated a lot of the speed.

We are in trouble Sunday.

Unreal watching McDavid and how he can skate around guys though that guy is a gem.

I'm not worried about the defence it's the awful coaching that annoys me ...Hamilton gets grossman jokipakka as partners and less minutes than deryk engelland ...Johnny and monahan get (frank)ing chiasson as a linemate ....let's stifle your most offensive players and play bums ....

This is what happens when you hire an assistant coach from a bad team

At least with a good draft pick they can trade for a goalie now now

- Redmile247

Gulutzan will be fine for you guys he just needs time and personnel much like Van (although Gulutzan may already be a better coach than WD).

You guys gave away ALOT of goals without replacing them. Hudler Byron Jooris Colborne…and if Stajan is the best you can do on the 4th line you are in huge trouble. may as well have Skille out there Basically you have just brought in Brouwer.

regardless how good the Flames D and goaltending has the 'potential' to be you gotta replace the goals you lost especially in the bottom 6…and they haven't done that.

6 years 36 mill for 1 goal

Elliott is getting 2.5 for 1 year ...and he only has one less goal

- Redmile247

Eriksson will get 12 this year and 30 next year. Always starts slow with new teams.

The NFL would dominate the line of scrimmage on any field any rules ...you are cherry picking the 0.1% from each side here ...there have been many CFL Allstars who go to the NFL and are just practice squad guys ...yeah sure there are a few guys like Cameron wake ...but far more Casey Printers

But it doesn't have the same budget ...so 99% of the football talent in North America is south of the border
