Don't read to much into Jr's evaluations . They has dropped too EK levels .

They are? They have produced next to no offense. That's a big part of being a good defense in the NHL. They have no transition game and are getting above average goaltending.

I mean, they aren't falling down while skating with the puck or just blatantly handing teams scoring chances, but that's the style of play

Yes, they are. Tied for 5th is good, for now, like I said there will be a regression, but they are playing much better than anyone though they would. A lot were saying "tire fire" tire fire's aren't top 5 I don't care how you want to count.

I guess it depends how you look at it. I'd say not having a single goal through 13 or 14 games is a tire fire. When the responsibility of your D man is simply to chip it out, dump it in, no risky passes or pinching, it's pretty easy not to get scored on.

I'd say if anything they've been very disciplined

Even when teams try and do that they're not always successful, even the Sabres have had trouble sitting on leads late in games this year trying to do that. You make it seem like it's easy, trust me, if it was that easy every single team would do that, because coaches hate goals. GMs hate goals. The only people who like goals are probably some players and the fans.

A great stream. Which is another way of saying they hate goals. Because goals often come from your team making a mistake, and above all, coaches hate mistakes.
