btw, I love how the refs let the game play on (with Sabres possession) then only call the 4 min penalty after they whistle it down cuz the guy was hurt. Love the fact that Okposo is highsticked right after they kill off the 4 min penalty and no call is made. ref inconsistency fkn kills me. - turbo044
A double minor for getting his stick up trying to protect himself. Seriously anybody else just coming back from cracked ribs and he's given a pass. Not to mention the only one fast enough on the team to even catch Greene there... - Stripes77
I actually typed out a post to that effect, but deleted it because I didn't feel like arguing. It sucks that it was a double minor, but they killed it off with relative ease. Those types of penalties I'm totally ok with, it's the lazy hook, or interference that drive me crazy, not Kane, but the team as a whole.
Everybody go here and vote so we can get a good stream for tomorrow night's game. 720p "60fps" I doubt the 60fps number, but it's at least 30 at 720p and that's hard to find for a Sabres game.

He is hot garbage.
He's the KING of fast skating, shooting wide and taking bad penalties.
He has brought nothing to this team since he's been here. - Pairo11
Totes magotes man. That didn't take long for me to wish he wasn't on the team. I was shocked they killed his careless double minor. Feel bad for Nilsson. Played good and was thinking we could have a goalie controversy til the penalty shot. Man he gets beat like a drum on penalty shots. Just like Philly.

Looked like it to me. He fell in front of the net and was slow to get up. Last time I saw him and then Razor said he went to the locker room. - Hatboro_Swords
What is with these doctors with both the bills, Sabres smh

It's not the doctor's fault he was interfered with. The doctor asks the player "how do you feel?" the player says "I feel great! Let me out there!" and unless the player has an injury that would fail a test like a torn ligament or a broken bone the doctors have to kind of listen to the player when they say they're fine. Medicine is not magic. The tagline for House was "Everybody lies" and if everybody lies it's really (frank)ing hard to treat them effectively. "It stings when I pee." "Did you have unprotected sex with that street walker?" "No! I swear!!".

This is exactly what's going to happen with Jack I'm just telling you right now and the Sabres better say (frank) off
Please tell me the doctors or trainers aren't some how connected. - Hatboro_Swords
They're not. Other than they all work for PS&E.
Kane looks pretty damn good out there. He was hitting everyone, and he looked no worse for wear. But right, it's all the doctor's fault that guys get hurt, they Tanya Harding them when they're out there. They paid Girgensons to tie up Eichel so he'd hurt his ankle. Come on guys. Let's rag on Murray and Whaley for having injury prone guys on the team before we criticize the doctors and trainers. Every team deals with injuries. That they happened to important players is unfortunate. But that's all it is. Kane came back early from his broken ribs. Eichel is on schedule, skating for a while the last few days. Ennis had a sports hernia. We don't know what ROR's injury is, maybe it's still his back, but that's the thing about back injuries you can have 2 identical sets of images and one guy says he's in agony and he can't walk, and he's pissing himself at night(it happens), and another guy is like "I have a herniated disc and a pinched nerve? Huh. I feel fine". I realize this is a bit rambly, but the doctors are not at fault for guys getting hurt, nor are they at fault if a guy comes back too early, it's on the coaches to let a guy play or not. And it's on the player to say when he feels like he's ready.

What are they going to do? Hold him out another month after he says he feels fine and he's been practicing? That's absurd. They'll be careful with him, but this is a dangerous game.

I would do everything possible make him go through the hardest training so they know he's perfectly fine they cannot (frank) around with this
How can anybody trust a buffalo doctor right now I mean they (frank)ed up so many players Right now ..

You and I clearly have different views on pretty damn good. Kane looked skiddish in his first game back, but looked like he was back to his out of control self tonight. Player should must hate playing with him knowing he is a black hole for the puck.
You seem to know a lot about injuries, were you a med major?. I'm just a layman, but Schopp talked about a doctor who said Shady had a 40% chance to reinjure his hammy if he played within 2 weeks of the injury. Pretty good probability and sure enough, he reinjured it. Maybe some medical staffs would hold a stronger opinion and would elect to hold a player out regardless how good he said he felt. That doesn't sound out of the realm of possibility. And different therapy or conditioning practices could definitely have different outcomes for the health of a sports team's players.

I think most teams have injury issues at different points. When you are a bad team, they tend to be used as an excuse more

Don't worry it's only been 13 games everything will be fine .

So if you equate it to the NFL, 2 more games played and they'll be equivalent to 3 games in. I'd say regardless what they do in the next 2, they're about 1-2.
