He does, and no he shouldn't be. The corners get no help whatsoever. They have to cover man-to-man all game long with no help. I'm surprised they're doing as well as they are. You need to stop putting everyone at the line of scrimmage and give those corners some (frank)ing help! It's not 1985, you can't mug the receivers anymore, that defense is way out of date. At the very least adjust once you see they're having a tough time. The Seahawks attempted what 10 running plays all night? And 3 on their last drive? There's no reason not to have guys like Jimmy Graham double covered.

I can't give any hate for Jimmy Graham those catches he made absolutely incredible
The best part of the night was him jumping over Gilmore Lmao

Glad I've lost just about all emotional attachment to the Bills. Between 7-9 and 9-7 every year. As predictable as the sun rising. Rex stinks, Whaley stinks. Team is going nowhere.

I noticed the play clock was at zero for like 5 seconds before anyone realized. I rewound the play afterwards and the play clock was correctly reset. It was almost instantly reset because the ball was spiked meaning it would be spotted at the exact same spot, nothing to figure out. I can't comment on the official standing on the ball too long, but the Bills are in the wrong for not showing a little more sense of urgency in that situation. The special teams was on the field. Shouldn't have taken them that long to line back up from the exact same spot. I was shocked Rex was smart enough to know spiking the ball would get Carpenter back on the field, but then totally redeemed himself.

I can't let go how that game ended last night and I'm not talking about the missed calls. When Seattle was taking timeouts, they mentally conceded the touchdown and the Bills should've kept running. 2nd and goal from the 7, just about where Gillislee scored from two drives ago, instead they drop back to pass and get sacked 2 goddamn times in a row. You got to be poopting me. As obvious as it was to me when Gruden kept saying running is still an option, apparently it wasn't to the Bills' coaching staff. This coaching staff crumbles when it is crunch time. Time after time.

You're wrong here. The Bills are lined up but they can't snap the ball with the ref standing there. That was on the officials.

I doubt they fire Rex, a lot of injuries and a game that should have been won last night, Pegula was there watching. I doubt it.

Schwartz is a coordinator, not a HC. He sucks at being a HC. You can be an bumhole bordering on abusive when you're a DC, because you have someone above him who can play good cop. But he just wears down the players as a HC. You guys are pissed off about Rex as a HC. lol Schwartz is way worse. I think Rex should be assistant head coach and DC let him focus 100% on defense, and be the cheerleader like he is now. But at this point I don't think his ego would allow it. Even though he sucks at actually managing the team, the clock, the defensive playcalling -which was a huge step for him to give up this year- doing all of those things at once is not his strong suit.

The clock management was pretty solid last night. The offense still needs to get to the line quicker, and Taylor's awareness of the clock is mind bendingly bad. The play clock is (frank)ing huge and it's right in your line of sight, but so often you see him look up, realize there's only 3 seconds left and then he starts frantically waving his arms and poop.

I typically go by YPA, Taylor is not an elite QB.

Taylor played elite last night.

I'm sorry, one more thing. Someone needs to smash that (frank)in punk loudmouth Sherman. Staring down Rex like that after he was gifted an interception. Congratulations loser, any cornerback in the league would've made that play. He smashes our kicker, stares Rex down on the sideline and (frank)in Gilmore is exchanging jerseys with him at the end of the game. Doesn't anyone on the Buffalo sports teams have any dignity? When is enough enough? Maybe I'm wrong, but whether I'm a coach or player, no way I'm cool with another player doing that after the game with Sherman.

Something like 50 delay of game penalties against the visitors in that stadium this season. That's crazy, I remember when it used to be that loud in Buffalo...

Ok, I can buy that for a dollar as I didn't watch the game.

I thought the reference was about his career so far.

For a career he reminds me of Foles, Smith, etc.

He's not going to carry a team.

But he's young, he could prove me wrong.

Right, I don't know what the officials were doing, but the clock was reset correctly after the spike. Had the Bills shown more urgency and told the official to get the hell out of the way, let's go, it wouldn't have been an issue or the official would've stopped the play then and there.

You don't know the rules here.

There were still a group of officials discussing something, therefore the official at the line of scrimmage had to stand there until they were done.

The head of officiating for the NFL came out and said the play clock should have reset when they were done huddling, it was not.

The officials screwed that up 100%

I think we get the rules but you're not understanding what we're saying.

It was wrong, no way around it, but you have an entire HALF of football to make up for ONE blown call.

You're punter kicked three times and Taylor threw a pick. There were four drives you came away with NO points.

Yes that hurt, we agree, it was wrong, we agree.

Champions don't blame the refs for one call, they overcome and win the game. Think about Steelers - Colts '06.

Was the war over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? No.

Gerbe won't get that.

No he did not. He had a good game. A game that QB's have in this league every week.

He missed Woods wide open for a TD, threw a red-zone INT, took sacks, couldn't win the game when it mattered, how is that elite?

This is a league where Josh McCown and Brian Hoyer are stepping in and throwing for 300 yards (with hurt WR's)

The one thing that I'd be worried about is that the Sabres are giving up 40+ shots a game basically. That isn't sustainable, even for that savage Lehner. Otherwise I'd be fairly happy with the start.
- SnipeDevil6

The numbers were somewhat whacky last night. The Sabres "out Corsied" the Bruins at 5v5. The 8 PPs we gave the Bruins is what sunk us. 3 that were complete bullpoop. The 2 to McCabe were nonsense, and the interference on Marchand by Grant was what exactly? They showed a replay but there was nothing there, then Grant gets slashed on the arm by Beleskey, they fight, Beleskey get his ass handed to him and they just go off and somehow Grant gets 2 for interference, but Beleskey doesn't get a slashing penalty. Whatever. Still have to score goals to win games. Rask stopped the few good chances we got. And Lehner only let in 1 goal 5v5. And only really had one bad play on the goal where he should've caught the puck, but it hit his glove and then Pasternak? scored on the rebound. Just one of those games where all the bounces go for the other team.
