I will find something else to do on a night when the Sabres and Bills are playing the same time. Last night was a dose of loser overload . I didn't expect it , but was cautious. Glad I had enough beer to ease the pain.

I ran out of sierra and had to go to emergency stash of rolling rock

couple of takes

1. the sabres are better, but not good yet. Lackluster second period and totally undisciplined

2. the bills are like a box of chocolates, never know what you are going to get. They can look like crap vs baltimore, jets, fins etc, then be in a game to the wire like the hawks or pound the cardinals

3. refs will always suck, but never an excuse to lose a game, cept for no goal 1 and no goal 2

4. I can see the sabres turning the corner soon

5. I really think the bills need to blow it up
incognito is getting old
glenn is not a fringe pro bowl tackle
our db's have been exposed more often than not this season
wr's are bottom 5 in nfl
with mccoy, you have a short shelf life

can the bills save it next year, yeah but I doubt the gm will do what is needed

after last night, I think first priority is a tackle, move glenn to the other side

sign 2 vet wr's and use entire draft on db's and o linemen

Consistency is what really needs work for both teams. It's frustrating as a fan to see them come out and really play well one game (even if it doesn't result in a win) and then come out the next game and look like they have better things to be doing at that point in time.

I think the Sabres are right there on the verge of being a legit playoff contender. Just need to iron out a few more kinks.

Sabres are in need of a difference maker . Kane will help but how effective can he be? He will still be kinda fragile for a few more weeks. Sam is 3 more weeks away. He still need some time to get back into game shape . Need a few more wins to keep us treading water. 10 more games to be played this month. Before Jack is due back (7 weeks)

I think the bruins maybe a bit of our kryptonite...I could see it from the first minute, how incredibly fast the bruins were playing and transitioning zones. I knew we were doomed from the start. They dictated the way that game was going to be played. Lots of breakaways, all in or bust hockey.

The Sabres are a very cautious and slow paced team right now. They are kinda "staying afloat" until reinforcements arrive. They play a mostly defensive game. We were not ready for last night

I just see Boston as a legit contender and the sabres making a push for a playoff spot and theres nothing wrong with losing to a currently better team.

Boston had a total of 3 PPGs for the entire season going into last night. They doubled their total for the year. That's terrible.

Interesting stat, going into last night's game, Sam was actually right on pace to have the same amount of points as he did last year. The difference is he's getting assists right now, and not goals. But point wise, he's right on par. (Per Hamilton on WGR).

Do you think our PK was that bad? or was Boston that good last night? Serious question. I thought the refs called a weak game but they were still all over us regardless of powerplay or not

Can't really say, as I didn't really get to watch much of the game last night. I hate to pull a Mike Schopp and say "the stats tell me all I need to know" but when a team has a 7% conversion rate on the PP for the year and you let them operate at 37.5% for the night, you did something wrong.

Everyone on here always said he would silently produce...he will find his game. Having Eichel back will help tremendously with chemistry and pure talent. That being said, he should be fine without eichel too.-

Correct. But we're missing our 5th, traded that to the Blues for Nilsson.

Early in the season Jack and Same were not playing together either. Once they were ,they both started producing every game . Have to wait a bit for that .

I think so, a 5th doesn't turn out to anything anyway, so I think Nilsson has been so far worth the price. Plus, who knows, if we're not in the playoff race bubble by the deadline maybe Nilsson can be shipped out for a 3rd. We have a lot of assets that could get us some extra picks to restock the farm if we become sellers. Kuli should get a us at least a second, and I would bet Gionta and Franson payback 3rds.

"Tyrod Taylor played his best NFL game last night. He is only QB to go for 280+ yards with 70+ completion % vs. #Seahawks from '12-present."

Do liquor stores even actually sell 5th? What's a standard bottle, a 4th?

Yeah I think a lot of people overreacted with keeping Johnson. He was good but I feel like he is a "in-betweener." Too good to be a backup but not good enough to be a starter. Nilsson has done an admirable job so far, and like you said he can be shipped out if need be. I know this team has ullmark in the pipeline so im assuming he will eventually be replaced

It's funny because I remember people in here freaking out at the beginning of last season that Murray should have brought someone better in behind Lehner.
