That's a good analogy.

The only thing I can say in the NFL any team can win one week...

In the NHL its hard to fake your way through a 7 game series

I am very curious what this team looks like with a healthy Watkins and McCoy with this new OC

- Stripes77

Sure, but if you read that back again you're really just hoping that we keep throwing poope against the wall and maybe one day it will stick. It won't.

Why would they want it to stick when the games sell out?

I don't think it's throwing poop at the wall at this point.

They have a good core of players. A healthy Watkins and McCoy takes a ton of pressure off of Taylor.

The defense has been up and down but they aren't bad.

Get another WR and some DB and LB depth

At that point its all on Taylor to manage the game and make some key throws.

Either way I agree with you.

Taylor is not the problem at this point.

I don't think we really know what he is yet. Could be the answer or could be just another QB the Bills had before they found the guy

- Stripes77

Ehhhh......... He's pretty close to it. You can't continually pass for under 200 yards and win NFL games.

Good NFL QB's make WR's look better. Would anyone know who guys like Philly Brown or Devin Funchess were if they were Bills last year?

A guy named Eli Rogers had 100 yards yesterday

So, moving on from football, I didn't get to see much of the Ottawa game the other night. Was Lehner really as lights out as it sounded like he was?

I'm kind of mad I missed it. I got home right as the Kulikov double minor started. So that's all I got to see of the game.

It almost literally pains me to type it but Bylsma's done a good job defensively so far and its making things even better for Lehner.

Can't find the shot chart but they're giving up far fewer high danger chances and its lessened the burden on Lehner who's stopping the ones we are giving up.

The only drawback here is at some point (probably when 15 is back) they're gunna have to open things up to really hang with big boys in this league. Im not sure this d-core as is can handle that.

Exactly - we have a pretty decent level of talent. Every team is a little short here or there. We aren't going anywhere without a much better qb.

I'm seriously starting to think that they only seem to play well when I don't watch. It's getting frustrating. Every game I miss they seem to play well. When I watch, they look disinterested, disjointed, and just all around awful.

Flacco says hey...

Again clearing house isn't the way to get better. It's been done time and time again.

I like Lynn as the OC.

I would like to see this team fully healthy.

Disco Dan is doing a good job for the most part.

I really can't complain much with how they are playing. The sky is doomed to fall after two games though like it always does in here.

That and right now... They are getting the bounces. The 2 goals the other night were a deflection, and a bank off a goalie from behind the net (Nice play, either way)

They are clinging to the wins they get. Which is fine while Eichel is out, and to a lesser extent Kane.

But I do find it interesting that Kane's on ice save % is historically low here, and when he was in WPG. Maybe the reason they are shopping him is his inability to play a structured system

If you're looking for precedent Re: Trouba. Im fairly certain the Yotes did the same with Turris way back before they shipped him off to Ottawa
