I haven't read much about the Paris accord, does it actually have some hard line resolutions to make some tangible progress or is largely symbolic?

Each country set their own goals. There is no penalty for not reaching the goals. It is just an agreement by all countries to cut emissions. The US worked very hard to get everyone on board. China and India are on pace to meet their standards thus far.

What Trump did made no sense. He just ceded global power to China as they'll now be the leader in fixing climate change.

Trump also lied about the climate deal affecting coal jobs. There are no coal jobs because no one uses it anymore. It's expensive to produce, so no one is investing in it anymore.

Jesus.

We closed our coal mines back home like 25 years ago despite direct coastal access.

Way more jobs in solar already.

Which is one of the fastest growing job markets in the US. Actually all alternative energy sources are growing and the US, along with Germany, is out in front of all other countries in new technologies.

But coal is will make america great again..or sumtin

There are more yoga instructors than people working in coal mines in the US. It's the media narrative of "Trump looking out for the little guy" that drives these things. He's pretty much doing nothing to help anyone

According to EPA Dir. Pruitt they have added around 100,000 coal mining job in the last 2 months. Which would mean that roughly 50% of the jobs added in the last 2 months are in the coal industry.

Yeah I saw that. If he was going to make up a number, he should have just said 1 million.

Department stores, including Macy’s and JC Penney, have shed nearly 100,000 jobs since October—more than the total number of coal miners or steel workers currently employed in the U.S.

Coal mining is still 95 percent white and 95 percent male. Department store workers are 40 percent minority and just 40 percent male.

discrimination and stereotyping are bad. it's not okay for anyone to do those things against minorities so why is it okay to stereotype white males and assume they're all bumholes?

Trump wants to bring coal jobs back!

Even though there are way more clean energy jobs available that he's railing against because 'bama liked them.
