I won't patronize you because he is such a wild card but I think things will be fine my friend. Worst case Ontario you move to Alberta and work on the keystone pipeline with me and Vag.

I don't think you realize how much control he actually has. Republicans have control of the house, senate, presidency and supreme court. They could pass anything they want. Also, Obama was forced to use executive action on everything because republicans were unwilling to negotiate on anything, so everything he's done can be rescinded by Trump alone right away.

negotiations are a 2-way street. obama was equally as unwilling.

A great lesson for future presidents. If you want a lasting legacy, you need to work with lawmakers and not go it alone. Going it alone is not how the system is supposed to work.

I do understand the dynamic involved for sure. I would never have been able to vote for Trump personally but I'm just not shocked people did a wholesale rejection of the political dynasty. It was very apparent something was coming given the support Trump and Bernie got against Jeb and the iron box.

I think it's sad we've reached a point where lying doesn't matter and fear mongering is going to be what gets you elected. Candidates are going to need to take extreme stances on issues in order to win from here on out. No one cares about policy or facts. Just say your opponent supports something unpopular and that you can fix everything that's wrong.

Unemployment is down, murder rates over the last 5 years are as low as they've ever been and the median Trump supporter makes more money than the median Clinton supporter. Yet, everything around us is terrible.

This election was about culture. The country was changing too quickly and people were afraid.

Republicans refused to work with him for fear of losing their primary. Chris Christie complimented Obama for coming to the aid of New Jersey after the hurricane and his popularity among republicans fell dramatically. Obama said he had to negotiate behind closed doors on many things because republican lawmakers couldn't be seen working with him on any issue.

20 years ago, you'd have a hard, contested election then both parties would come to the table and negotiate new deals together. Things began to change under Bush and it went into overdrive under Obama.

The only time I can recall the republicans praising Obama was when he negotiated the TPP last year. Now, their nominee and our next president has promised to kill the deal.

Not if you had been monitoring this poll, that the left wing progressive democratic cheer leading main stream media had been dismissing for months as an "Outlier".

The republican party's deuce they dropped on the country would drop a deuce back on the party?

It's kind of true eh?

The super delegates were in lock step with her despite the obvious appetite for a fresh start.

If some of the people so sickened by trump actually move here, we'll actually probably become more anti-trump.
