Are there figures on Obama supporters that voted for Trump?

I think the reason for the Trump win was that republicans came out to vote for him, while a lot of Democracts who were pro-bernie were incensed and just didn't show up to vote.

Which is also very, very stupid when Trump is the alternative.

I will say as I usually do that I am not really that educated on all of it and that my posts are purely opinionated but yeah I'm pretty sure Trump flipped 200 counties that went for Obama. I may be wrong, so if somebody knows better please correct the record.

You're correct, the absence of democrats voting is probably a bigger factor as my quick search turned up that 7% of Obama voters went to Trump. As high as 20% in places like Wisconsin however.

The stats were from a Washington post article about a week after the election and they used assumptions based on exit polls and specific questions regarding the economy and union membership.

Not an exact science by any means, I'll try to locate the article again nonetheless.

From what I've gleaned from many friends and family, who live in the USA, is that after 8 years of Obama, many voters were not pleased with the direction the country was heading down, and the promised results just were not materializing............and just like when a Football coach has lasted well past his BB date, replacing him with the Defensive coordinator (HRC) was just gong to bring more of the same philosophy, that voters have had enough of.
