Should we legalize marijuana and tax that industry?

That would help raise a little revenue.

Why repeal carbon taxes? It serves a dual purpose - punish those who would incur a social cost to Canadians (often these activities/things being taxed contribute to pollution which can damage health - which is costly) & serve to dissuade us from things bad for the environment & our health.

Just like we heavily tax smoking, we should tax pollution.

We should tax anything that carries a high social cost

Businesses, looking to save money, will invest & innovate - creating new technology, jobs & things that carry less environmental risk and social cost (& therefore pay less carbon tax anyways) in the future.

- twiztedmike

In Alberta both the agricultural industry and the oilsands have special carbon tax exemptions. So in reality it's accomplishing nothing except taxing the people creating the least pollution.

Do Canadian Prime Ministers have the power to sign EXECUTIVE ORDERS like Mr. Trump to get poop done?
- twiztedmike

They don't need to. Any PM with a majority can pretty much pass bills at will unless they are so egregious that even his own party won't vote for them. No House to petition for funding and the Senate is pretty much ceremonial.

Really only the Governor General can kill legislation if the PM has a majority. I think that's only happened once, though.

Either you can't see clearly, or you can't follow the instructions I posted. The Arial photo showed no one in the back half of the mall towards the Washington mall (all the white space)

Now go look at the interactive photo, and get someone to show you how to navigate it, and slowly zoom in towards the bottom of the Washington monument, and if you don't see that the back half is full of people right up tot he base of the monument, then you're blind.

I see there are more people in the gigapixel thing but there are still huge gaps visible through the crowd. The last section in front of the monument is almost completely empty.

the aerial photos shows complete open sections (in white) while there is very little visible white sections in photo (interactive) when the POTUS is giving his speech.

The point is that it is not nearly as sparse as the aerial photo taken about two hours earlier shows.......... the aerial photo used by the left wing progressive democrat supporting main stream media and the late night comedian talk shows have been using, falsely implying that both aerial photos were taken at "peak point" of both inaugurals.

I know you feel the need to tone up the sass to try and deflect from ignoring most of the post, but I used to do 360 tours for google, so I've got a pretty good framework for how to navigate an interactive image. And you know, the whole being a professional photographer thing gives me some insight you don't have on how perspective works... so you should probably listen to me when I try to teach you about perspective. It's something you've got a very tenuous grasp on.

Maybe Ontario.

Western Canada would maintain a resistance that would last decades.

The Germans targeted the Oil fields, not wind farms and solar panels.

Operation Barbarossa was planned to seize the Soviet Caucasan oil fields.
