Not really fair logic considering there is a giant wasteland in the middle of the USA that some tard took a map of and drew lines on and broke up into waste-chunks

hmmmmm, this is an interesting interpretation of history.

Yeah that was the nice version

In reality, GeneralLee speaking, a bunch of inbred pig(frank)ers got together and decided their way of life that depended on exploiting slave labour and hating everything was in danger and decided to band together and fight the coastal libfags

I appreciate this version more but its like, if enough of these people actually voted would this be a discussion right now? I dunno, for me the blame for this mess goes solely on the shoulders of the DNC but maybe i'm just a self hating lefty?

I didn't think they used the best strategy either. They should have focused more on policy. It became a corruption vs racist campaign

While I agree they fell directly into the trap I think they pissed off just enough people during the primary, between the media sneering at Bernie while propping up the candidate with the checkered past, to the chairperson of the DNC exposed for favouring one candidate over the other to the establishment Super Delegates being decided before it even started.

Maybe enough people looked at all of this, felt betrayed by the perception that their party abandoned them and either stayed home or even worse went with Trump.

Not sure how accurate their numbers are, but CNN had some stats up last night that showed Trump getting more Hispanic votes than Romney and Clinton getting way less women or African american than originally anticipated.

Not gonna pretend to have all the answers, and I do think some of the culture war narratives have some legs to them. But turnout seems to have been a massive issue for Clinton.

Or the turnout was a statement. Probably a very ineffective one but many people couldn't bring themselves to cast a vote for either of the two clowns.

Saw mention that voter turn out in the afrcian-american community was down over the previous election.

If any non Yankee doodle dandies in here like me who didn't have an exact grasp of how the electoral college works and why it's important this is a pretty useful explanation for dummies like moi.

Pretty brilliant really, they obviously designed it with the notion of protecting all walks of life from one another and to always ensure a strong opposition. I suppose this is what happens when your leaders are inventors, scientists, philosophers and critical thinkers and not the usual political hacks found in all western democracies today.
