Chia will likely trade him for girardi.

Well add Watkins, fair deal for both sides.

The king goes back to playing like in the World cup. 5 2 Oilers. Rangers go on 4 game losing streak. Leon gets another Hatty like last time he faced the crownless king.

Jan not having to protect Skjei actually allows for 3 extra forwards to be protected, 2 more players in total. The formula is 8 skaters or 7 forwards & 3 Dman. If NYR had to protect 4 Dman then only 4 spots left at forward. Both systems only allow for 1 goalie.

That's exactly how I show NYR's keepers for expansion as well. I see Klein or Raanta being lost as I don't see Vegas taking Nash due to salary.

NYR is 1 of the best positioned teams for expansion as I write this. I don't see them trading for a substantial asset that would effect these keepers like a Trouba. I assume NYR may ask Girardi or Stall to waive their NMC's but would be surprised if either choose to do so.

NYR will buy some solid playoff rentals come the trade deadline time or sooner if injuries dictate & look to address adding say a player like Shattenkirk come July 1st.

Thanks for the correction, agreed and I should have written it that way. Remember, they can acquire an RFA and not sign him to after the expansion draft but have a tacit agreement on a contract. The league wouldn't be happy but nothing precluding it from happening.

D't worry, you're not responsible for every jack off Oiler poster. Like we Ranger fans shouldn't bare the brunt of RD's troll posts.

As a reminder, I will be at game tonight, let me know if attending.

One aspect to watch for tonight which I meant to add to the blog is watch for whoever matches up against McDavid to play a physical sometimes chippy game. Nazem Kadri did so last night and it was effective. It also forces Lucic to watch out for McDavid rather than playing his game. I could see the KZZ line matched up against the McDavid one because Zib has the size to play this type game with some speed and you have CK20 who can deal with Lucic.

Good point. I think ultimately, Stepan will receive the assignment.

McDonagh's skating will be a huge asset to contain McDavid

Nope but he's our best defensive center and always gets matched up against the other team's top line.

I know.

Was just funny Jan wrote that, and I'm thinking no center on our team plays that way.

If Stepan gets that assignment he better be on point tonight with his positioning. We thought Stepan looked slow before..wait to see how he looks if McDavid skates by him.

by the way, not sure if anyone mentioned it and it was moot because we won 5-0, but how the hell was there not a penalty shot when one of the Blues defenseman put their glove on the puck in the crease the other night?

That was an absurd no call

I've seen plenty of jihadists bursting with laughter.

Or was it TATP? One of them. Definitely bursting though.

I said it while i was there that should have been a PS. The guy next to me seemed dumbfounded that you can even get a PS that way. But i guess that's the caliber of fans we'll see now at the games.

I was also completely disappointed in the lower bowl. I was on the bridge in the corner (which has awesome views!! Section 317) and looked down in the 3rd and the lower bowl was empty from the suits leaving. I know it's only November but that really concerns me

Yeah because the french officials don't do their job correctly. Also the Rangers don't have the best of luck when dealing with players who have eye injuries.
