Zach Bogosian sustained a sprained MCL Tuesday night.
Coach Dan Byslma said that Bogosian will be sidelined for weeks because of the ailment. Bogosian has not recorded a point in his first nine games this season.

Sabres' Robin Lehner says improving the home record will "get even more fans here and get Toronto fans out of the building."

Gotta like Lehner's attitude

No what it'll do is drive up the price for season ticket holders to get for their tickets.

I really want to see the cash flow numbers for games like this. Because of 2005 through 2007, they keep listing these Sabres-Leafs games as top tier, even mid-week, but they haven't been that kind of draw in almost a decade and rarely sell out because neither team has been good in a while. Even now, both teams are in the "show me" stage. Stubhub prices are really low too.

The resale market in general for any Sabres game has been abysmal over the last 5 years. You can't even give the tickets away for the most part.

Part of it is just that the costs for season ticket holders have gone up pretty significantly. The tickets that I have are in Sec 317, so mid-tier 300 level pricing. When my friend first got them just after the 05-06 season, his share of them (1/5th of the season) cost about $300. We paid close to $700 for the exact same split this year.

When you factor in that Stubhub has drastically increased their piece of the pie as well as the fees the buyer has to pay them, you pretty much have to sell the ticket for double what you actually paid for it just to make your $ back. It's ridiculous.

Oh I know all of this. I just wonder if making these Toronto games top tier priced games actually makes them money, even if they don't sell out. I guess what I am asking is, are they better off lowering the price to sell a higher quantity of tickets.

Stubhub is criminal now. Bought 4 tickets for last Saturdays game at $50 per. Cost us $248. You essentially have to buy 5 tickets to get 4.

95% of all tickets are sold when the season starts for all games. So if they raise prices in that tier and that 5% never sells because of it they still made out.

Considering that approx 16,000 of the 19,000 that fit in the building are sold at a standard rate due to being STH, I would think they'd be better off lowering the price to fill the building instead.

Plus they take part of the $50 asking price from the seller as well. It's a damn rip off these days.

They also used to show you the total cost of the tickets WITH their fee. Now it's basically a surprise at the end.

Oh I forget the seasons are discounted. So when they have a tiered game like tonight, only a fool would go to the box office first.

It really is getting out of control. You basically have to expect to pay over $100 a ticket before fees to even have a somewhat decent view. Anything cheaper than that and you might as well just stay home and find a youtube video of a concert, because you're watching it all on the screens there anyway since the performers are the size of ants.

This is part of the reason I love electronic music... I don't have to worry about paying that much to see the best in the world or my favorites.
In Nashville it hovers around $25 per ticket and maybe $40 for VIP.
In Atlanta and the bigger cities it is more expensive but not criminal like what is charged for pop/country/etc shows...

Its become its own worst enemy...the same people who were pushing the big-room house that brought in all of the fringe fans are alienating many by transitioning to either attempting to attach popstars to their product full time or going to the mellow deep house stuff that sounds more like carrabean music than EDM

My favorite is Digweed... He doesn't play that...
He rarely, if ever, plays the "songs of the moment".
It's always something new and different.
And his mixes are flawless live.
