Agreed.
I would be pissed as a grown man to be told how to wear my hair or facial hair.
Dear Lou, it's not the name on the back or the mustache on the player's face...it's the logo on the jersey, (frank)er!
Sincerely,
Barb. XOXO. - underhill14
I'm not so sure. If my boss said: If you don't grow out your hair and wear it like Josh Donaldson, you're fired!! I'd get to go home and say "sorry honey, it's either this or EI cheques," and go back to posing in the mirror with a baseball bat. |

The name is Timothy Liljegren. He wont cost the leafs anything when he is drafted next summer.
Add Travis Dermott in the mix who would already be on the leafs if not for the logjam.
All of a sudden the leafs have a very decent young top 4 (Reilley/Zaitsev).
It just might take a year or two. The leafs absolutely do not need to trade to try to win now by making trades.
The leafs team need to learn (skills) on the ice.
The leafs fans need to learn (patience) off the ice. - B-Wforever
the fans won't put up with this horsepuckie defense for long. |

I think Lou needs to make an exception to his no facial hair rule.
Just like Samson, Komogods power comes from his handlebars.

If it's not a league rule, shouldn't be a team rule. (Like BBs bullpoop trade freeze and poop.)
(frank)ing Burns and Thornton skating around like ZZ Top and Leo can't have a mustache???
I'm fine with hygiene and cleanliness rules, just don't dictate style or personal choice of style.
Back off my goatee female dog! (I don't have one but you get it.) |

He's thinking "I can't do this alone"
Which is exactly what Phagoof was thinking - Delryk
I don't buy that completely. He's making some bad decisions. Low % pass up the middle when there are safer options to get the puck out. He might be falling a bit in love with his own press clippings. He needs to simplify unless there is a good safe outlet. I still think this is part of development process of what should become a very good/great defencemen. |

Actually Max....that is the first trade proposal on this site that I have heard that sounds realistic and makes sense for each team.
Sounds like a good move to me, even Ek's reason sounds legit. |

Very good/great defensemen are already that by his age or the amount of time he's played in the NHL.
He's second pairing. |

Trade JVR + 1 or 2 forward prospects and move Gards to 2nd line LW.
He was a winger til Uni, why hasn't anyone given this a shot. Let him fly up the wing yelling his name and throw a couple pucks on net without being a defensive liability. - CanadianBodmon
Love this idea.... been saying this for a long time. The guys got wheels, and can take a check/work the corners half decent. Also, not a terrible shot. I'd give it a whirl. He'd look better than Komarov has lately. |

How did the defense get worse than last year, they added a better player in Zaitsev.
And they look worse. |

You trade JVR for a defensemen, then all the talk will be about how the leafs lack size up front and should trade for a big sturdy winger that can park himself in front of the net.
The point is the leafs aren't at the stage where they can think about plugging holes yet. They don't have the depth of NHL talent so any trade to plug a hole, just opens up a different hole.
Better to stay the course and continue to develop from within.
(Trying gardiner on the wing isn't such a bad idea) |

If he can keep it up all year, or until the deadline, then maybe we can give him a look.
but to suggest he should have somehow made the team is untrue. I had Nielsen pegged higher than him even and he couldn't crack this pathetic top 8 |
