How the hell did we fleece San Jose for two 2nd round picks for Polak and Spaling.. Maybe we can do that with Polak and Smith this year.

They should give some of the young dmen a shot. Its been tough to watch ..... but the forwards arent doing much to help. I dont like this defensive strategy. I see the wingers down low, and the point/opposing forwards high in the slot and wide open.

The whole team's defensive strategy has been poorly executed.
We need a solid defensive minded Dman.
I cannot stand another 65 games of this crap...even with the kids.

you've waited this long, what's another season of rebuilding and progressing the prospects into NHL players

Ironically the one with Sen in his name is not the one who plays for the Sens.

Exactly. We've just gotta chill. The games have been a lot more fun to watch this season, even if every one ends in a loss.

If a deal happens where there is a chance to get a young d man I would do it. It would be a good move for the future. Just a bonus that it helps us now

Really? I just pretended there was a lockout again last year the games were so hard to watch. I even watched Raptors games instead.

This year we get 4 goal debuts, 3 forwards emerging as stars, and tight fought edge of your seat games like the one they lost to the OctoCup champs on Saturday.

Progress doesn't happen all at once. When you try and make it happen all at once you get the Burke Nonis era - nothing but pissy fat stars and broken toasters.

Because that isn't happening with the defense. Another year isn't gonna turn this chicken poop defense into chicken salad

They are fun to watch no doubt.

Hopefully some more wins come. It's always more fun to win

I'll give you firsties credit Underhill. I did not finish reading it until after I commented.

Good blog Lucas. I agree on your assessment of Neilsen. I was really impressed with him at the rookie tournament. I'm eager to see how he does at the NHL level.

I can't, in good conscience, take first.......I went back and read the blog too. All you brother!
